 A new anime project based on Natsume Akatsuki's Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! (KonoSuba) light novels was announced on Tuesday in a web radio broadcast on HiBiKi Radio Station. Seiyuu Jun Fukushima (Kazuma Satou) and Rie Takahashi (Megumin), who hosted the 28th and final episode of Kono Subarashii Radio ni Shukufuku wo!, read a message from Kadokawa producer Rie Ogura announcing the new anime project at the end of the episode. Ogura's message does not specify the format and content of the new anime. KonoSuba was first adapted into a television anime series in Winter 2016. A second season ended its broadcast this past March. An OVA episode was included in the 9th volume of the light novels, and a second OVA was included in the 12th volume, which went on sale on Monday. | S3 or Bakuen Wo adaptation please <3 That was only ever a rumor. It was never confirmed by any official source that S3 was not going to happen. Just a game of internet telephone where someone started spreading that information and people assumed it to be true and continued to spread it themselves. Can see this for example: |

| Possible, but I think more likely if they'll make another season they'll just mix in some of Bakuen Wo's content into the main story since the story takes place simultaneously or in-between the volumes of the original, so they can get it all in chronological order by merging them. But what do I know, just a theory |

I think a much more legit bet would be a 3rd season and THEN MAYBE Bakuen wo adaption. But y'know, since Kadokawa is involved in this expecting too much anime projects would be silly :/ |
