I'm pretty excited. I've enjoyed the manga so far and I could see it becoming a good anime ^__^

So... I don't read this (yet, maybe.)
Is this thing good? Any title that might serve as a good comparison?

Yeah, it definitely looks like a sort of post-apocalyptic version of made in abyss.
Question to the manga readers: are there some dangers that await for the characters or do they just have to find food and fuel? (In both cases i'm definitely watching it)

As far from what I've read its basically the 2nd thing. This feels more of a mixture between the post-apocalyptic setting along with SoL vibes. Though, I need to read further into the manga but so far from what I've read its a mix between that and Iyashikei (which is a sub-genre of the SoL genre).

It's literally Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou but in post-war setting

Oddly enough, It really reminds me of Planetarian(the vn, not the anime) in its visuals/sound. The PV really has that emotional mixture of sad yet soothing, grim/militaristic yet hopeful quality that Planetarian uses so well. Of course, I don't know if that comparison will hold up at all once I've seen it. I guess I shouldn't set my expectations THAT high...

It looks pretty cool. And the two main characters are extremely cute
