Really like the treasure hunter's character design for some reason... I hope she comes back.

I came here to say the very same thing! So glad I wasn't the only one to think that.

I'll try to put it into words...
She's clearly cute but not in a girly/loli/over-moe way
She's mature looking but not in the traditional hypersexualized way
The costume looks cool and practical while still being feminine

I wish we had more character designs like hers across all anime in general.

my man , simple well designs are the true beauties

still enjoying the mix of showing their worlds and them nutting over food, Adding Sugita was a bonus !

I can say that I didn't know what to expect from this show. I also can say that I don't really have any idea why I like this show so far. I don't know if it will get better or worse, but I think I've decided to stick with it at this point.
Warning: Loli is loyal, and may become aggressive.

This is the most unexpected show that I've come to love this season. I wasn't even going to touch this when it aired, its a good thing I did.

Agree with the guy above me, though I did know this was gonna be one of the better AOTS.
Overall episode was an 8.5/10
Love the vibe this anime gives off, calm and chill at the same time giving a strong sense of fantasy feels and adventure.

Needs and deserves much more attention than it is getting so far!

Ha ha ha! You're not gonna get me twice with all that mouth watering food show, I came prepared with my own chocolate bar to ease the craving. XD
.......But the shrimp and meat cutlets looked so good. T.T

I don't know... Having a chocolate bar when they're serving such delicious fried shrimps... I'd be tears when looking at the difference between the 2 XD
But I guess it's better than watching this episode on an empty stomach. Why oh why did I do that T_T

LOL someone finally brought Gordon Ramsey up XD.

But yeah, I think this might end up my AOTS, though, going in watching episode of this with an empty stomach is suicidal lmao.

To see diversity of characters enjoying their meal with all their might and joy puts a smile on my face too :)

Best part of every episode is just watching the people come in and be super confused. I love it.

Don't know the source material, haven't even heard of it. But this is a discount Shokugeki no Souma in the way every character seems to be an expert food critic. Not very interesting for me, especially considering that it is constantly showing Japanese cuisine as the best in the universe. Don't get me wrong, I love Japanese cuisine, but saying it's the best there is is just bigotry.

I actually thought about the foogasms of Shokugeki no Souma, because every new costumer in the restaurant seems an expert, world-class food critic. Ramsey would probably say the pork cutlet was raw, and free refills of soup and bread would bankrupt the restaurant.

Really enjoying the atmosphere of this show. It's a bunch of super diverse characters from another world eating food. That's it, but its so enjoyable, and interesting to watch their own reasons for coming.

Also like the subtle hints that they drop about the current situation in the world. The blonde haired knight guy was at a fort fighting monsters, and the moon was all fucked up. They're presenting it in a way that implies there's obviously a story there, but the way it's presented sets it up so that its ambiguous enough to let the viewer guess and make up their own story...but if they wanted to show it, it would still work.

And I feel like a fucking idiot for taking the entire episode to realize that the "Day of Satur"....is fucking Saturday. Shit went completely over my head the whole time until they say it at the very end.

Ok, I get it now. It is literally food porn. You also have to skip the boring parts to get to the plot. But is there really any plot? Do I want to waste my time on this?

This episode was rather enjoyable but I fear like it'll not only get repetitive but it'll also probably go down on the line of lack of interest later on. Surprisingly it's still an enjoyable watch for the moment being because I was kinda skeptical about it when I thought for a moment, but its fine for now.

The fact that it took me until the end of the episode to realize that the Day of Satur was basically their way of saying Saturday made me feel dumb lol.

This show kinda remind me Shinya Shokudō (not anime) from the very beginning, with a lot of fantasy elements. But because this is anime, the food is not as attracted (aka making me feel hungry) as in the real life series.

As for this genre of show, I think it would only have a few small stories and some stories might be connected, but would not have a big development over time.

Don't get me wrong, I still like this show, but have a strange feel like just watching the fantasy version of Shinya Shokudō .

Just got into this after first hearing about it, watched two episodes already, and I have a feeling that this'll be like Death Parade with how it's going about in the start, meaning that it might look more episodic at first while being more focused on the mystery around the setting of the series and characters along with being more plot based later on. That being said, the episodes feel rather ordinary so far, but I've enjoyed them nonetheless. Very calming so far, and it brought a smile to my face. :)

What also helps with that are the visuals. I must say that this is one of the most beautiful anime I've seen so far this whole year. Not joking. The visuals and details are VERY nice to me, while also in such vibrant wonderful colors. Animations aren't anything special but it's nothing bad either, so it's fine.

The OP, tbh, I'm not much of a fan of, as I don't find it that fitting with, what I find as, the soothing atmosphere this anime has been having so far (though that may change later on), like the ED, of which I enjoyed, felt like it captured just fine.

I'll definitely stick with this one.

Enjoy your anime!

Ah, Sugita's food commentary. Sublime. Also, Gold is an exceedingly appropriate surname for a treasure hunter (or a family of those). The twin story format seems entertaining as well.

Always a good time to stop and have dinner in a restaurant while your men are being killed buy humanoid moths :)

This made me laugh but you should consider that the guy had been riding / walking for a whole day by that point, without any supplies. He was at the end of his rope, and wouldn't have been able to make it to his destination without resting a bit and grabbing something to eat.

It's starting to separate itself from other cooking series.. at first I was pretty disappointed thinking this is gonna be another food porn series, just that, and wanted to drop it after the first episode because I thought it's gonna be all about Aletta and how moe she is but I am glad that isn't the case. Definitely looking good so far, this is one of those times where reading the reviews really helped.

edit: I just realize that Aletta is only working at the shop for one day a week, I think, as she leaves through the same door that is said to open once every 7 days.

I didnt expect action here, but much appreciated.Sarah Croft come in slaying those goblin with her spear. So,the biggest treasure for a treasure hunter is to taste foods from another world. If people from the past can taste today's food, they would be inside a lot of adventures.Free refill for bread and lemon juice, huh?Since this is a special restaurant, they probably will skip the bread and go for food they cant afford in their world, the door only appear once a week anyway. That dutch guy owned a fortress from sending an important message, plus he gets to eat delicious food on his way.A great deal.
Hi,please be patient,thank you.
