Isekai Shokudou Episode 2 Discussion

This episode was rather enjoyable but I fear like it'll not only get repetitive but it'll also probably go down on the line of lack of interest later on. Surprisingly it's still an enjoyable watch for the moment being because I was kinda skeptical about it when I thought for a moment, but its fine for now.

Watching this anime makes me angry.
Also, treasure hunter girl is hot.

Waking up in the morning without eating breakfast then watching this was a huge mistake.

This show kinda remind me Shinya Shokudō (not anime) from the very beginning, with a lot of fantasy elements. But because this is anime, the food is not as attracted (aka making me feel hungry) as in the real life series.

As for this genre of show, I think it would only have a few small stories and some stories might be connected, but would not have a big development over time.

Don't get me wrong, I still like this show, but have a strange feel like just watching the fantasy version of Shinya Shokudō .

Just got into this after first hearing about it, watched two episodes already, and I have a feeling that this'll be like Death Parade with how it's going about in the start, meaning that it might look more episodic at first while being more focused on the mystery around the setting of the series and characters along with being more plot based later on. That being said, the episodes feel rather ordinary so far, but I've enjoyed them nonetheless. Very calming so far, and it brought a smile to my face. :)

What also helps with that are the visuals. I must say that this is one of the most beautiful anime I've seen so far this whole year. Not joking. The visuals and details are VERY nice to me, while also in such vibrant wonderful colors. Animations aren't anything special but it's nothing bad either, so it's fine.

The OP, tbh, I'm not much of a fan of, as I don't find it that fitting with, what I find as, the soothing atmosphere this anime has been having so far (though that may change later on), like the ED, of which I enjoyed, felt like it captured just fine.

I'll definitely stick with this one.

This is a very enjoyable anime to watch. Lol too bad there dont have foodgasms as extreme as Shokugeki no Soma's.

Btw that girls reminds me of Yume from Hai to Gensou no Grimgar.

This show so far...these 2 eps have been delightful to watch! Seeing the guests enjoy the meals makes me feel so happy and warm inside. Loving the chill atmosphere.

Both of the new characters had the same reaction about the food!

I love how everyone got a heart attack when that knight guy ripped open the door and ask for fried shrimp （　´∀｀）

Ah, Sugita's food commentary. Sublime. Also, Gold is an exceedingly appropriate surname for a treasure hunter (or a family of those). The twin story format seems entertaining as well.

I'm glad every "other/isekai" world can speak Japanese fluently xD

Seeing Sugita's character happy made me happy too, eat a lot Sugita's chara xD

This made me laugh but you should consider that the guy had been riding / walking for a whole day by that point, without any supplies. He was at the end of his rope, and wouldn't have been able to make it to his destination without resting a bit and grabbing something to eat.

It's true but man... he REALLY took his time to savor every bite and to asked Aletta for more haha

I guess Tenshu's cooking is just that good.

The series so far isn't anything special but it feels so pleasant to watch.

I find myself smiling none stop throughout the whole episode. It makes you all warm and fuzzy inside

Is this M&S: The Anime?

I like Treasure Hunter girl's story the best.

It's starting to separate itself from other cooking series.. at first I was pretty disappointed thinking this is gonna be another food porn series, just that, and wanted to drop it after the first episode because I thought it's gonna be all about Aletta and how moe she is but I am glad that isn't the case. Definitely looking good so far, this is one of those times where reading the reviews really helped.

edit: I just realize that Aletta is only working at the shop for one day a week, I think, as she leaves through the same door that is said to open once every 7 days.

This show is so delightfully quaint, like more SOL and less shounen than Soma!

I didnt expect action here,but much appreciated.Sarah Croft come in slaying those goblin with her spear.So,the biggest treasure for a treasure hunter is to taste foods from another world.If people from the past can taste today's food,they would be inside a lot of adventures.Free refill for bread and lemon juice,huh?Since this is a special restaurant,they probably will skip the bread and go for food they cant afford in their world,the door only appear once a week anyway.That dutch guy owned a fortress from sending an important message,plus he gets to eat delicious food on his way.A great deal.

Sorry but my tears came out at this episode. Reunion is one of the beautiful things i've ever feel
