| Yes, there are gay implications in episode 1 so far. Besides Tomo blushing when he sees Youichi and not showing interest in his girlfriend, Miu (he doesn't appear to have romantic feelings for her, at all; he probably agreed to date her, since he felt guilty for making her cry after her friends told him off), Tomo even thought to himself, "This is the worst," after Youichi asked, "That girl from today. Was she your girlfriend?" Why would Tomo tell himself, "This is the worst," just because Youichi asked if Miu is his girlfriend? And why did Youichi walk away and smirked, when Tomo didn’t confirm he was dating Miu? Maybe Youichi was simply curious, but did he have another motive for asking? Tomo acknowledged he doesn't know what dating is, and he doesn't say yes when people ask about his relationship status, + him making no effort to contact Miu, really shows that he doesn't like her. I'm not saying that just because Tomo doesn't like Miu, he's gay, but he has definitely shown fondness for Youichi, compared to nothing so far for Miu... |
