| I want to rewatch the best scenes again! I will gather these favorite scenes and start a new post with a poll for the best S2 scenes. Please use the format below and remember these short rules: 1. Scene must be shorter than 10 minutes. 2. If it is on YouTube, please link it. I'll start. Favorite Scene: Episode 11: Charge (CrunchyRoll notes it as Episode 36) Begins at: 8th minute, 30 seconds Ends at: 10th minute, 0 seconds Short Description: Mikasa stares down at Bertholdt and attempts to kill Ymir. Historia (Christa) stops Mikasa. Mikasa threatens to kill Ymir and Historia because "You're mistaken to seek any compassion from me. Because right now, I'm all out of time and room in my heart to care. Christa... do you pick Eren or Ymir? Which is it? Will you get in my way too?" |

| 1. Mikasa's assault in ep 11 - Loved the way she didn't have time for Krista's bs. She wasn't going to faulter this time and let eren be taken away again. That yandere stare is also a bonus. 2. Reiner and Bertoolt's transformation - Just casually answering one of the biggest mysteries in the show xD 3. When Erwin is literally in the jaws of a titan but he still tells his men to save Eren. First time we see a commander walk the walk, instead of just using talk-no-jutsu to send people to their deaths. EDIT: Mikasa thanking eren is probably number one (forgot about it) - she looked so beautiful in that scene and I don't usually comment on the beauty of 2D characters :o |

Wow! This is the exact order I would put it. I might put Shinzou Sasageyou scene as #3 or #4. #5 would be Sasha's arrow scene, then #6 Christa and Ymir's conversation |

| Several come to mind, hard to pick any single one as a favorite, though: 1. Hange's little happy moment when Titan!Eren acknowledges her tactical advice; it's the first intelligent response she's ever gotten back from a Titan, and her little breathy "moment" was priceless. Really, just about anything with Zoe Hange; brown eyed brunette meganekko action girls rule! 2. Hannes' flashback to young Eren/Mikasa/Armin back in Shignashina District. It was good exposition for a lot of characters, in the best tradition of "show, don't tell." 3. During the Eren/Reiner Tree Fight, several moments stand out, from Eren's "I Surrender, Suckers!" followed by Berthold's and Ymir's casual attitude to the fight going on only yards away, to Reiner telling Eren to "Knock it off," in tone more like he's scolding a naughty younger sibling who's acting out, to Eren, desperately angry (and, IMO, unintentionally hilarious), gnawing on the stump of his own arm like a dog with a chew toy, to try to turn himself into a Titan again; the accompanying sound effect, in both the original Japanese and the English dub, really sells the moment and had me laughing out loud. The sound effects are so similar (but, interestingly enough, not identical) that I'd like to think that both sets of voice directors bought both sets of voice actors nice, juicy steaks, put them in the respective voice recording booths, and that the two actors gnawed/chewed comically on them to get the teeth-in-meat/dog-with-a-bone "Nom!Nom!Nom!"sound effect. |
