Allow me to be the first to disagree. It's true the characters and their situations were well written, but they missed one big question: what brought the MC and heroines into one room in the 1st place? It would make sense if Mei orchestrated all of it, but none of the 15 episodes made that clear. Lets not forget, not all the girls were concurred yet, so it needs another season for you to make that claim. I'm sure the web manga continues, so I'd have to read further to see if they filled in the blanks or wait for 2nd season.

Truth be told, you would have to read both stories to the end before comparing them. TWGOK gets so much more in depth when you read the manga compared to watching the anime. If the part you like most is that the characters still have feelings for the MC after being concurred, TWGOK does the same for a few of the characters as well. I will admit, TWGOK lacks a yandere though. In this regard, TWGOK takes the more realistic approach. Cupid's Chocolate just takes a few situations too far, whether it be for fan-service or comedy.

I dont think the MC was in the same room as the heroines, I think it showed him taking a bite of it while it was somewhere else. But aye, why the girls are there I dont know.

If I am honest I did get bored of TWGOK, probably unfairly and I intend to go back to it.

I guess my issue with TWGOK was that it was a harem but didnt really feel like a harem. I also didnt like how the females were never actually together, lets face it what is entertaining about these shows is the interactions between all the females and the MC.

It is also fair to say that if Cupid was dragged out over 3 seasons 20 minute episodes (without mixing things up a bit) I probably would have got bored too.

I only got through I think 7/8 eps of S1 of TWGOK and I just got the feeling it was gonna be 3 episodes 1 girl, 3 episodes another girl, 3 episodes another girl etc for all seasons (it probably isnt) and as I said it didnt look like the girls would even meet eachother.

I think I would agree that quality-wise TWGOK is the better show, wittier writing and better characters, but something about it made me get bored. A Yandere in TWGOK might have been nice tho, gotta enjoy a good Yandere lol

I personally wouldn't compare TWGOK and Cupid chocolate.

I find them uniquely different.

However, you can find many similarities with cupid chocolate and DATEALIVE.

Especially character design...

Xueli x Kurumi
Difference: Kurumi looks like Xueli's little sister and has clock eye.
Similarity: Everything else.

Lin, Yuan x Origami
Difference: One is firm, the other is soft.
Similarity: Smart ass nerd, everything else.

Xuan Tang x Tooka

ZiTong x Miku

and our dear main character
