If you're a fan of the Mushishi series, you should watch The Wailing. It's a Korean horror about a string of gruesome deaths at a village, and the policeman who begins to suspect the mysterious stranger who just arrived. It's a similar place to the world of Mushishi - a rural community, a smoking shaman, superstition and magic, etc. There's one scene of a shaman whistling to track down a spirit, for example. A good horror, some comedic moments, and endearing characters - about 8.5/10.
