Talent management company Air Agency announced on Friday that voice actor Keiji Fujiwara will be making a return to his career as a voice actor. Fujiwara took a medical leave in August 2016 with an undisclosed medical condition. The agency further stated that Fujiwara will slowly resume his career while taking his physical health into account.
Active in the voice acting industry since the 1980s, Keiji Fujiwara has voiced characters from various media, including drama CDs, tokusatsu shows, video games, live-action series, and Western cartoons.
They say there's no such place... as Paradise. Even if you search to the ends of the Earth, there's nothing there.
No matter how far you walk, it's always the same road. It just goes on and on.
But, in spite of that... Why am I so driven to find it? A voice calls to me... It says:
I missed hearing Fujiwara in anime lately. Very happy that he's doing well enough to come back into voice acting. Leorio is my personal favorite performance of his, and that's just one of the several great characters he's played.

Summer anime have already started recording so that's basically impossible. Voice casting for the fall season must also be well-advanced. So at best he'll get some cameos in the fall and back as a regular in the winter. But of course, the sooner the better !
Realistically, Shin-chan will probably be what he resumes work on first, at least anime-wise.
