Talent management company Air Agency announced on Friday that voice actor Keiji Fujiwara will be making a return to his career as a voice actor. Fujiwara took a medical leave in August 2016 with an undisclosed medical condition. The agency further stated that Fujiwara will slowly resume his career while taking his physical health into account.

Fujiwara has been replaced in several anime series in the past couple of months, including Hiroshi Nohara from Crayon Shin-chan by Toshiyuki Morikawa, Shirou Fujimoto from Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto Fujouou-hen by Hiroaki Hirata, Hannes from Shingeki no Kyojin Season 2 and Isami Enomoto from Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2202: Ai no Senshi-tachi by Kenjirou Tsuda.

Active in the voice acting industry since the 1980s, Keiji Fujiwara has voiced characters from various media, including drama CDs, tokusatsu shows, video games, live-action series, and Western cartoons.

Great news, his voice is always pleasant to hear so I'm glad we'll get to continue hearing it.

Good to hear it. Was suprised when his character in Ao no Exorcist was replaced (though i prefered the replacement in this case).

you do prefer the replacement only because the guy who replaced him is the voice of Sanji

Such great news!! Looking forward to hearing more from him again. I love his voice!! I was bummed out when he got replaced in Ao no Exorcist (though the one replacing him did a good job as well).

I missed hearing Fujiwara in anime lately. Very happy that he's doing well enough to come back into voice acting. Leorio is my personal favorite performance of his, and that's just one of the several great characters he's played.

Summer anime have already started recording so that's basically impossible. Voice casting for the fall season must also be well-advanced. So at best he'll get some cameos in the fall and back as a regular in the winter. But of course, the sooner the better !

Realistically, Shin-chan will probably be what he resumes work on first, at least anime-wise.

I for one am rejoicing tremendously at this news. Tony Stark remains his and that's only fair.

There's a dub teaser already (hopefully it's not region-locked)
