I doubt it too. Short animes don't have that much of a history to do well. I hate on this, but will still be watching it for the lolz. |

| As long as you can't guess everything that is going to happen in the entire episode after the first ten seconds it'll be an improvement. Someone said that the show has a new writer so I need to watch at least the first episide. Who knows, maybe I'll even like it. |

| I personally really enjoy this series, I love to see what new stories they will be telling next ~ There's been quite a few scary ones amongst them, and I just find them all fascinating. I also hear the original narrator will be back in this one, so that will be great! :D |
| Atleast they're trying new things. 4th season had lots of voice actors and this 5th season will be written by women writers and women voices. |

In Japan 3rd and 4th season are considered as shit. I can't believe they decide to make 5th season,I think this anime is aired at every monday 0330 (JST),so they don't care about audience rating. |

However, I think the creators know that there are fans (like me) who will keep watching just to see if the show will ever go back to the glory days of season 1... almost like American Horror Story. I stopped watching AHS, but I still tune into the first few eps. |
| Gave the last season a rating of 2 and have never rated any season above 6, yet...me and my girlfriend still felt excited at this announcement for some reason. The short episodes makes for easy watching, and the potential for Yami Shibai to be a really good series has always been there...I want to see it happen. That said, the producers seem to be from an indie/small studio, so I'll cut them some slack. |

| lol, okay. My initial reaction was a long drown out defeated why but after coming to terms with it in this past minute, I'm down. Yami Shibai season, if nothing else, are bad in distinctly different ways, so it'll likely still be trash, but it'll be different trash. Also, each season has rated worse than the previous for me, so if the pattern holds, I'll have my second 1/10. So neat. |

| honestly i'm really sad to see everyone bashing this in. i mean i know it has been a rough two seasons, but i've been riding the Yamishibai train from the beginning and i welcome any season regardless how trash it is just because there is such a lack of anthology horror in anime, let alone any type of horror in anime. at least it's some what entertaining. we can really only hope for the best here. hell at least Yamishibai introduced me to The Mirraz. | As far as I am concerned, I am more than happy to see this continue. I immensely enjoy this series and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was part of this year's summer bash. Yami Shibai is creepy at best but never scary. Regardless as to whether the third and fourth seasons were received in a negative light, there are fans out there that do appreciate short horror anthology shows rather than the nonstop production of run-in-the-mill magical high-school harem ecchi trash that the anime industry is plagued with. |
