| I re-watched the episodes before the time-skip and just realized this series might have done better with Kamina alive. After all, Perhaps just my sentimental side speaking...but I really hate how my favorite characters wind up dead =.= |

| GAR OVERLOAD/OVERKILL. That Giga Drill is officially the coolest attack of all time. Screw Gundam, this makes them as souless as a bar of soap. I was literally yelling "AAAAAAHHH" (in a manly manner) when they fucked the shit out of the boss. And holy shit, Kamina died. That was pretty sad. At least he died in a awesome manner. I now expect Simon to become a ruthless vengeful badass now. I am also interested on whats gonna happen after, considering it still has 18 eps to go. And the Yoko x Kamina thing... I personally didn't think it was really necessary. I was more hoping for a more Samurai Champloo of a relationship between the three. But I forgive, since this anime is pretty awesome so far. |

| Yeah, I read about Kamina's death long ago, and it was one of the main reasons that kept me from watching this show, considering the importance of the character. And now that I've finally watched it, I can safely say that it's a great plot twist. Seriously, I really liked Kamina, but I just didn't see this anime going anywhere big with him on board. Hopefully Simon becomes a worthy protagonist. |
| No way, that was one of the most serious twists I have ever experienced. I never thought a guy as awesome as Kamina would be killed before the series was even halfway finished. It's just too damn soon. His death was spoiled for me sadly, but I was expecting this to come somewhere towards the end. |

| The Kamina x Yoko romance was way too fkin random. After I saw them kiss, I just wanted him to die! Kind of cool how I got what I wanted. Overall, epic fkin episode. This was the turning point for me, I may actually enjoy this anime now! :) Oh and if he isn't actually dead... DROPPING THIS SHIT! >:( |

| I see a lot of people here were spoiled about Kamina's death and I was no exception. It kinda did take away some of the emotional impact it would have had on me but still killing off a main character early in the series is a very big deal. I wonder how this would affect Simon since Kamina was always there to push him forward. Now it's his turn to grow into the awesome character I hope he can be. |

| What to say. I was so annoyed by that stupid bitch at the beginning (Yoko). Also I was accidentally spoiled of the major event here (Kamina's death) by reading it somewhere else, I think it was when I searched for the uncut 6th episode. Thus, this episode annoyed me to no end. Over-the-top action. The drama didn't cut it for me, except for the heart breaking of the hero (forgot his name). Thus Kamina's death is very welcome in order for our hero to get badass improvement (and maybe that stupid Yoko) Anyway, the cartoonish, nearly one-piece like animation/art style does no crap to me when it comes for emotion imo. Maybe it's because I exhausted my stock of tears by watching Mirai Nikki and Steins;Gate this week... I just don't see why so much praise for Gurren Lagann >_> I'll give it two more episodes before dropping it I guess. |

| Wow what a big character development! Yoko kissing Kamina, though I feel kinda sad for Simon... Either way that ending battle was SUPER EPIC :D Up to the next episode now that they have that fortress gunmen! I do hope Kamina is just unconscious, he's a main character he couldn't die, could he? |

| Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh no they didn't.....! It's safe to say I did not see that coming... Well i kinda did given the whole Yoko-kiss thing; i figured that Simon would screw up and get Kamina killed and yup that's exactly what happened. Plus the title of the episode is a giveaway -_- I'm sad now, what's gonna happen when Team Gurren's fearless leader is gone!? Who's gonna take charge?! Simon??? Don't make me laugh. I hope Yoko will step up, she always seemed to be the most capable next to Kamina. By the way, what is it with anime and its constant killing of lovable characters RIGHT when we get to know them?! It's depressing, i get enough of that in real life! |
