| I wouldn't consider any anime in general as "scary," but most animes have their moments that you'd find "scary" or "creepy." For instance, a key character dying. You'd feel scared, no? =S |

| Higurashi is probably the closest one, but I've never been scared by an anime. Then again, horror movies never scared me either. Thinking about it Higurashi and Requium are probably more of a "holy shit horror" factor than being scared. Gotta love dancing heads. lol |

| I think scary is not the best word to use. Sure the best of the genre for me is Higurashi...I guess it's more of gore and psychology...I guess that's what horror is in anime. |

| Texhnolize I've watched many anime but this was the only one that scared every living cell of my body. For some reason it put a psychological pressure in me that still gives me nightmares. Anime may be disturbing or brutal... But this was the only one that ever scared me. |

| Higurashi Onikakushi-hen only - scared me when I first watched it. Seriously, I totally underestimated the artwork of the show. Ghost Hunt - I was creeped out for a few of the arcs, but the Blood-soaked Labyrinth arc scared the HELL out of me. Especially when that demon thing came out from that tub of blood. o.O Granted, I was watching it full screen on my computer with the lights off at 1 in the morning. And with the added fact that I'm slightly hemophobic... VERY BAD IDEA! |

| Some episodes of xxxHolic Kei were kind of creepy. I felt slightly scared during the Blood-soaked Labyrinth arc of Ghost Hunt. Kafuka from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei manages to creep me out everytime. |

| Ghost Hunt The Bloodstained Labyrinth arc were the most scary i've seen in a anime.. I watched it in the middle of the night and I'm not very used to the horror genre so I was kinda freaked out. I had to gather courage so that i could go to the bathroom.. Pathetic eh? ^^ |

| I don't get scared my scary movies, or "scary" animes like higurashi... my friends hate watching that stuff with me ^_^ But, I found "Ghost Hunt" to be quite freaky, so I would definately recommend that. |

| Ok no offense but Ghost Hunt is a perfectly normal anime. I can't see what's scary about it. As for me I've never seen a scary anime, but I can't say there aren't any because this is ME and I've never been scared from stuff I see on the screen, even if it's a normal movie with real people slicing each other or eating each other. But the simplest explanation for that may be that I'm not alright in the head :P |
