| It doesn't belong to the series at all. Just watch S2, or you'll get MANY spoilers which will happen in after story. the movie is a summary, but the plot focuses only on the nagisa arc. You can watch the movie after you watched S2 if you want, but it isn't necessary. |

| If I am correct, after episode 16 of Clannad After Story, I think the spoilers end there, because that is the last episode that the movie and anime hold in common before moving onto different versions of the ending. The anime adaption ending was much better, though. |

While the movie itself trips over itself during the first half attempting to get through all of high school in just an hour, the last 30 minutes really shine, even if it does vary greatly from the visual novel source. |
