Just wanna remind everyone how things work. Obviously season 1 isn't even over yet but I wanna remind everyone the best ways to most improve chances for a second season of anime. Nothing is a guarantee in anime but it's pretty much known now these are usually the best ways to give it the best chance.

Once the anime is done airing or when the next volume comes out buy the light novels from the official stores. Possibly the biggest factor for a second season is the boost in source materiel sells after the anime airs. Some don't know but most anime are usually created not to be a hit in itself but to be promotion for the source materiel so big boosts in source sells after the anime airs or is airing are possibly the biggest factor in if shows get more seasons.

Second buy the blue ray/dvd of the anime from official stores when the volumes come out. This one is more expensive and doesn't make quite the difference but it matters as well. I keep saying buy from legit stores because if not the sells don't get added to the totals and don't matter in improving chances. You can watch most shows on streaming services but if you wanna help out it's season 2 chances make the purchases.

Especially for people outside of Japan these two things are the most you can do to improve chances from an actual aspect. Nothing is a guarantee as I said some never have plans to make a second season etc no matter what but these are your best bets. will most likely post again with links when the next ln volume comes out and after the show airs when the disc volumes start coming out.

I highly doubt we will get a second season soon. Usually anime boosts source material sales and thats it. Maybe few years later when the sm does not sell good anymore they will do a second season. Sadly thats how it works.
Imho most anime are not worth buying. I wont enjoy watching them more then once. Some are the exception, some I just want to have. I absolutely hate unfinished storys and this here is no different.

My take on this matter is that BD sales are more important then SM boosts. When the SM sells good, the author is happy and does not care about the anime. Its indeed a pretty shitty system, but when its not a big studio (I dont consider Lidenfilms big) chances are higher they are interested in a second season if it sold well. So jeah buy the BD but dont expect anything from it.

Disk sales aren't as important anymore, streaming sales are now the big thing and rokudenashi is doing great in that.
Season 2 will come eventually.

I doubt buying a LN would increase chance for a sequel. There is plenty of series that significantly boosted LN sales but never saw a continuation. And that's probably because they were intended as LN commercials from the start. Whether they do their job or not doesn't matter for anime itself. If anything you would need to buy anime merchandise.

But the question that should be asked first is if we really need a sequel for a series like that. Sure, it could be enjoyable at start but it quickly settled for the usual routine to the point of cementing its position as another forgettable LN commercial.

If only it would be that easy.. We need the author to order a second season and he usually cares only about his source material

I think that's wrong. The author doesn't have a say in it, he isn't even part of the production committee... Authors that only care about the source material always want more anime of their works, cause anime is the best publicity for their work.

I can't. Why? Because original BD/DVD of this anime cannot be found her in my country (Philippines). The only anime I can buy some original merchandise are the popular, like One Piece, Naruto, Gintama, or Hunter X Hunter. Anime like this never reach our country in original BD. That's why, no matter how much I want to support the Japan anime industry, I can't because the lack of option of how to watch their anime here in my country. Even manga is very rare here.

The author or rather the company he sold his rights to needs to declare he wish for an anime, after that the whole thing with production commitee etc starts. He usually is not involved but holds the rights to the original story. The PC only gives the budget and gets the income. Offer some personal maybe. The studio has usually nothing to say at all. Exceptions would be KyoAni and maybe Shaft, they are sometimes in the PC.
But only the author holds the copyrights. They are not allowed to make another season if he does not permit it. 1 Season is usually more then enough to boost the sales heavily. A second season would make no or minimal difference. That is also why it takes forever for a second season to become a thing. Like with AoT, the sales dropped over the time and now its economically enough to produce a second season.
After that the author gets to sell more paper, the PC is happy because merchandise and BD sales, the studio gets payed even before that.
This whole shit circle is also the reason why I love authors who actively want a full adaption.

Actually second season has absolutely nothing to do with that. If the guys who own the right to the light novel want a new anime, then we will get one. As simple as that.
