The actual article, after we get past the headline, says the following:
1) It's a small study.
2) It's not yet peer reviewed.
3) They scored below average in 2 areas, and well above in 2 others. Their overall functioning is not below average. In particular, they deal with pressure better than most.
4) The negative aspects are largely attributable to lifestyle issues (lack of sleep, mild dehydration, and too much coffee and booze all affect the brain).


The article and thread titles take a statement from the study, rip it out of context, and then pretends the rest was never written. One more reason to always read the full article.
