The black community didn't really adapt in the 50* years they've had because of welfare policies and leftist influence leading to bullshit like BLM which really only hurts the black community. Minorities can live on welfare and receive benefits as long as they don't start building wealth. You're incentivized to make bad decisions like having babies out of wedlock as a single woman who wants to stop being under her parents' responsibility, which in the first place (before the "war on poverty") was more common in the black community (and is the number one cause for crime, poverty, practically everything bad, while today the single-motherhood rate in the black community is 70% as opposed to 20% before the welfare stuff). It's not something that stems from their race and culture exclusively, and their culture in many of the Democrat-led states that encourage such policies and don't care about crime or proper education, things that are handled awfully in the inner cities, is prevented from improving as a result of all of this. but yes, i certainly believe it is enough for individuals, and blacks are individuals before they are black. I don't see multi-generational issues as unbreakable chains. Only 2% of people who graduate high school, don't have a kid before wedlocke and get a job, according to the brookings institute, will be permanently poor in the US. This means that if you didn't make bad decisions, you won't be poor, and your children would face no significant disadvantage (and no disadvantage at all in many cases).
