This episode is a recap of what happened until now seen from the view of the characters. Nothing new is shown in this episode but if you forgot a few parts it's worth watching i guess. |

I was hoping for a new episode, but as a recap its quite well done and shows the key events. Does anyone know how long this series is meant to be? |

It was nice for a recap episode. I was hoping for a new one. Guess it can't be helped. |

I was looking forward to a number of anime this season. A number of them disappointed me at the start(with a few exceptions) but a number of them got better in the middle. And a number of them have a recap. The trends are real this season. |

What. What sort of show puts up a recap of six episodes? It's silly. |

Still don't understand why people find this to be really slow pacing. Compared to most series of its genre it's making much faster progress than usual. The recap is pretty nice for that reason. |

Why do I feel like this season had an odd week out? It seems like almost every other show I've been watching has had this surprise early/mid-season recap. |

fam Sin Nanatsu no Taizai did it at 4 last week it's most likely due to production issues which is somewhat troubling but what can you do |

Sadly just a standard recap. New opening animation was nice though. I wish there could be at least new voice over dialogue. Maybe some inner monologues from the characters. |

What? Recap after 6 episodes? Who the hell could forget what happened during such short time? Recaps are justified in series with 100, maybe 50 episodes. They are unecessary in 24 episodes series and completly ridiculous in 12 series, never encountered anything like that. Maybe they had problems with finishing 7th episode so they released recap just becouse that? It's hard to belive that such silly thing was planned beforehand. |

I think it just shows us the new opening animation for episode 7. The current op animation is not that good for me. |

They are probably late on schedule and one more week gives them needed breathing space. Honestly, it's a lot better to wait a week than have few half-assed episodes later. Also, making one less episode saves you a lot of money, so there you have it. 13ep seasons were pretty common even few years back but are almost nonexistent now. Anime is expensive, money are harder to get, that's a fact. That's not to say one-cour season needs any recap, of course not. |

Look like the next episode they are going to amusement park and Akane being alone with Hira again, I hope they can solved the matter with Chinatsu and Hira in one go. I don't want this show to become overly dramatic. |

I mean, just take a look at the Monogatari Series: Second Season. That series had 26 episodes and 3 or 4 of them were recaps. You may be asking, "Why release a recap then?". With the way the Japanese TV slots work, they can't. They have to put something in that week's slot. |

The Golden Week holidays in early May is a big reason why a lot of spring productions went behind schedule, and Tsuki ga Kirei is likely no exception. Considering the attention to detail and how lovingly this whole series appear to be made, I'd rather they delay for one week to maintain the same high quality they have managed to achieve so far. |

Yup, it does look like the drama is going to start escalating next week! Summer break. After the final exams, I went to the amusement park with classmates at the invitation of Chinatsu. While Kotaro and Akane who do not reveal their relationships accompany awkwardly, although he is amiable with the approach of Chinatsu to Kotaro, Akane gets stuck out from everyone together with Hira. Just like I expected, it looks like Chinatsu is probably actively trying to drive a wedge between Akane and Kotarou, taking advantage of their secret relationship in order openly spend more time with Kotarou by separating the two, as well as foisting Hira on Akane. I might be wrong, of course, but I highly doubt it. |

This recap episode just proved to me that the whole first half of this anime could have be done in 2 or 3 episodes if they would have cut out some of the irrelevant parts that slowed the pacing down |

VersoSciolto said: Is it perhaps also premature to ask why it looks like the recap episode's title hasn't been updated? Perhaps a cache issue, on my end, but here I still see: "Japanese: 月がきれい 前半抄", without the 道程 in the title as written here. As you stated yourself, "道程 (Michinori)" is its episode title, not the official title. There are cases where we put the episode titles in the main title (then also in the Japanese title field) but this is not the case here. |

VersoSciolto said: The English translation listed here on MAL does include the part of the title omitted from the Japanese title of this episode as a whole though, doesn't it? In English it says: "Tsukigakirei First Half: The Road So Far". This is how I understand it when I break down title isolated from the rest of the series... Where: "Tsukigakirei" comes from:月がきれい ; where First Half covers 前半抄; but where no Japanese text provides an explanation for the inclusion of "The Road So Far" - when 道程 is omitted from the original Japanese title. [つきがきれい ぜんはんしょう どうてい] Which do you prefer? Leaving all the fields as they are, deleting "The Road so Far" from the English text field or appending 道程 as intended when going by the original Japanese so that part too is accounted for? The English title has nothing to do with the Japanese title. The English title is the official title provided by the licensors (in this case, Crunchyroll), and while yes "Tsukigakirei First Half: The Road So Far" is the English episode title, it still doesn't effect how the Japanese title should be or how the main title should be romanized. "前半抄" (or 前半抄 道程) is basically the same as "総集編" which we don't romanize either (if it's an OVA or Special that's a recap). All that title is telling us is that it's a summary of the past 6 episodes.
