I use Media Player Classic. Used to use VLC until a lot of people told me how much VLC sucked.

And yea, MPC uses a lot of ram. ^^;

A lot? ~10MB is a lot? And the player is not to blame for that, it's stupid Microsoft and their DirectShow... >_>

I use to use Real Player a lot and I still kind of do when ever a file just opens with it but now I mostly use Media Player Classic with CCCP pack. I love Media Player Classic to death too cause it plays just about everything. X3

VLC,
Real Alternative > Media player classic.
Works fine for me.
I'm telling you, Teal'c, if we don't find a way out of this soon, I'm going to lose it. 'Lose it'. It means go crazy. Nuts. Insane. Bonzo. No longer in possession of one's faculties. Three fries short of a happy meal. Wacko!!!

I use the Zoom Player when my computer is up. Other than that it's mpeg-4 on psp/ps3 or on the web.

I've tried almost all of them and some others, up until now, but the media player I use now is Zoom Player, that's the one that works for me at the moment.

i used VLC before but it got annoying every time i watched .mkv files.
the subs would overlap and usually, i miss out on something important.
now i use zoom since it can play most formats. i like how it .mkv files work like .avi files in this player.

I use MPlayer. It works and has a great button interface. I had that same problem asuka23 when I would watch .mkv files. Mostly while watching gurren lagann. The subs would be gigantic and I could never get them smaller. >.>

Media Player Classic, but for features and absolute technical configurability, the KMPlayer is utterly in a class by itself. For most users, it would be overkill, but if you need to do things like switch video renderers on the fly, this is your player.

I use a mix of Veoh Player, DivX, Windows Media Player, and VLC. I put my vote down as DivX because its the one I prefer the most.

i used to use Windows medea player all the time, but seeing as how much people use MPC, i got that and have been using that most of the time, using VLC on any vids that dont work on MPC.

full k-lite codec pack and I use:
.avi-All Player (just nice polish prog ;p)
.ogg, .mkv., .mp4-VLC (when I need to change audio track from english to japanese because sometimes english is primary and I don't like to watch animes with english dub) or SubEdit-Player (next polish to edit subtitles and things like that)

Windows Media Player if possible - or Real Player if needed..

Sometimes I use streams if I can use DivX stage 6 - it's pretty cool fading the screen xD

I use VLC a lot. It can play almost any type of video file, and I don't want to mess up my music playlist in winamp. :)

Because I have no idea about anything involving media players, of course ;)

Anyways, may I ask what the disadvantages are in using those players? I have had no problem with them myself.
