I use to use Real Player a lot and I still kind of do when ever a file just opens with it but now I mostly use Media Player Classic with CCCP pack. I love Media Player Classic to death too cause it plays just about everything. X3
I'm telling you, Teal'c, if we don't find a way out of this soon, I'm going to lose it. 'Lose it'. It means go crazy. Nuts. Insane. Bonzo. No longer in possession of one's faculties. Three fries short of a happy meal. Wacko!!!
i used VLC before but it got annoying every time i watched .mkv files.
the subs would overlap and usually, i miss out on something important.
now i use zoom since it can play most formats. i like how it .mkv files work like .avi files in this player.
I use MPlayer. It works and has a great button interface. I had that same problem asuka23 when I would watch .mkv files. Mostly while watching gurren lagann. The subs would be gigantic and I could never get them smaller. >.>
Media Player Classic, but for features and absolute technical configurability, the KMPlayer is utterly in a class by itself. For most users, it would be overkill, but if you need to do things like switch video renderers on the fly, this is your player.
full k-lite codec pack and I use:
.avi-All Player (just nice polish prog ;p)
.ogg, .mkv., .mp4-VLC (when I need to change audio track from english to japanese because sometimes english is primary and I don't like to watch animes with english dub) or SubEdit-Player (next polish to edit subtitles and things like that)
