The artificial, uninspired, "anime style" of speech pattern and voice acting (which has only gotten worse over the years). No normal Japanese person talks like that. It's like the Japanese equivalent of the funny sounding transatlantic accent you'd find in old hollywood movies.
I'd like to see more anime with a bit more realistic voice acting, like in the movie Hana to Alice. If that's too extreme, then maybe something along the lines of Hibike Euphonium. which had a good balance of realistic and the usual squeaky anime voice acting.

It's things I've realized, a short time ago, why I'm more in comics and cartoons. Even if the dialogues are cheesy, timelines are big clusterf**k, or the plot is a mess, when characters talks, I feel more concerned.
When anime characters talk, they over-the-top the single emotion.

Recently, I've tried Stein:Gate but I didn't finish the first episode because I can't stand how the MCs talk. Between Okabe excentric melodramatization and Mayurii "alien" attitude (yeah It's her inability to accept the death of her grandmother. But that means we find her cute because she has psychological trauma? That's weird!), I just....can't!
Or when we got anime inspirational speech about courage, heroism, "make you dreams come true" or "be a man" stuffs, I cannot help but roll my eyes and sigh deeply. The way they (scream) talk by overdramatizing everything is incredibly tiresome.

I mean, this Overwatch video got me more chiils in my spine than any "epic" speeches from any manly men I've seen in anime.

When the main character is retarded, and the world basically praises him for being retarded.

And that's an other big problem I have found recently in animes. Especially in shonens.
Courage is something great but this is greater if the MCs knows they takes incredible risks. But with characters like Naruto, Luffy or Kamina, they are more unconcious. They don't know fear because they're too dense to realize the dangers and the consequences of theirs actions. Why can't we responsable MCs instead of those braindead morons for change in action shows?

When certain anime have to give a recap at the beginning of every episode. Not as bad as it used to be since I now watch everything online and I can skip it. Also pointless fillers.

I don't like how anime seems real but it's not.

Take an example in romance stories. 2 people that love each other and, I dunno have different personalities and cute moments. It seems pretty normal but we're all in the same page where our romance world is fucked up. It's not like the 1950s anymore.

There are a lot of things I hate in an anime series, let me give you some examples:
-Ecchi or fanservice elements (like panty shots, lewd camera shots, physically appealing characters with little to none personality or charisma) I think when some series had a lot of fanservice elements, they have a weak storyline and poor-developed characters and is the only way to get attention from some people and gather some followers.

-Over-abusive or "over-tsundere" characters (may be very physically strong, but they tend to be very annoying...)

-(Little) Sisters who have "brother complex" (basically in love with her older brother)

-Actual "shounen" main characters (I don't know if it's just me, or most of the actual shounen anime series have the same model for the MC like Naruto, One Piece and Bleach. Tell me if I'm wrong, but with facts, please...)

-Character stereotypes like yandere, tsundere, dandere, etc. They give a one-sided character feeling instead of presenting an interesting or likeable one.

-Harem-themed series: Sorry for all those who love this kind of series, but I don't like them.

-Sports-themed series (Spokon): Same problem here like the harem.

-Over "moe-fied" anime series and characters: I don't have any problems with the "moe" characters. In fact, I like some series where the character (usually female) is depicted as cute, but there are some series that can be overwhelming with so many "cuteness" but offers no interesting characters or story, (It tends to happen very often to me, at least...)

-Dense characters: After many episodes, they're usually tend to be very desperating...

-There are some typical MC rivals that tend to be very irritating and despicable (i.e like Ryoga Hibiki from Ranma 1/2 or Sasuke Uchiha from Naruto)
We are EVERYWHERE...

And still, Bill will live on.
He will befriend the next inhabitants of the earth, beings of light who revere him as a god.
And Bill will outlive them all... for millions and millions of years...exploring, learning, living,
until the earth is swallowed beneath his feet.
Until the sun is long since gone.
Until time loses all meaning and the moment comes that he knows only the positions of the stars
and sees them whether his eyes are closed or open.
Until he forgets his name and the place where he'd once come from.
He lives and he lives until all of the lights go out.

* When my ships don't sail
* When a series is left on a cliff hanger with no new animated sequel and i have to read the manga, although if i enjoy it enough i was already planning on doing so anyways.
* When best girl don't win
* When ecchi is censored with no uncensored version for like 8 months
* When queen bee animates hentai
* Not as many long runners as their use to be (example would be 50+ episodes)
* Waiting like a year for certain movies to release their blu-ray so i can watch it finally and not worry about avoiding spoilers on the internet
* Huge unrealistic boobs

There are a lot i could say but i just woke up and i can't fully think at the moment

- recap episodes (waste of episode)
- plot holes (everyone hates that)
- open endings (gives you hope for another season but gives you despair for no closure)
- drastic changes from source material (speaks for itself)
- character nerfed from source material (very sad to see characters missing their development especially supporting characters)
- less than 12 episodes (I think it's standard for a show to have at least 12 episodes/season without counting OVAs)
- no sequels even though source materials can provide 2 to 3 more seasons (I want moar!!!)

and last but not least :

last episode, exactly moments before the ending song, MC says "This is only the beginning!" (coupled with an open ending and no sequel and you got the worst thing that could happen to an anime)

I hate it when in a romantic anime, when the male MC ends up with the girl that I didn't like as much as another girl, (or girls), in the series, like in Fuuka, Shuffle or Rumbling Hearts. I don't mind the harems or fan service at all, that always made for good comedy in many series, and a lot of anime series have harems in general and harem girls are usually outrageous, funny and eccentric in many series.

Swimsuit episodes.

It's not that I don't like the fanservice. Fanservice is great in my book.

Swimsuit episodes are almost always filler and have generic plots. There are exceptions to this rule (Another and Akuma no Riddle come to mind; they may not be the best, but they aren't completely generic plots), but they are few and far between. Whether it's the beach, a water park, or a river (catching fish and cooking them on a grill, anyone?), I almost always hate these episodes.

Probably random ecchi moments that are there just because. I know a lot of people like ecchi shows, but when you see underwear in a mystery thriller, there's a problem lol. And it just keeps giving anime a bad rep in general.

I guess I should help Mamster a bit and tell you we enjoy random ecchi scenes, and sane people should not be troubled by them.
And no matter what anime is like, it will have bad rep. Because government propaganda and general xenophobia.

I never said I was sane... muahahaha. And I'm my opinion, lewdness in anime does really contribute to its bad reputation. But lettuce agree to disagree!

In series with fights, one of the things that really irks me is when everyone explains their abilities to their opponents. Bleach is among the worst offender in this regard. In that, and many other series, the fighters often take the time to explain the mechanisms of their abilities. This of course allows their opponent to counter said abilities. Then that opponent in turn explains their abilities. This phenomenon makes everyone feel arrogant. I roll my eyes when I see it occur so frequently.

Extremely unrealistic physics, be it from in oppai or in fight sequences. It's generally really awkward to see people not be phased by explosions next to them or completely stopping blows without moving an inch or huge fighters with huge weapons having motions as quick and smooth as someone swinging around a straw.

Mmm... Actually, a lot of things. Specially sexism, yeah, come to me haters, but that's a fact guys, anime usually treats women like shit.
And also the few variety you can find in designs (I mean, how many black characters have you seen in anime? And Asians? This last one is kind of ironic, don't you think?), and plots, and personalities.

After all of this, imagine how much I love anime if I still keep watching it. Well, I want to have faith ;-)
