| We got a flashback of Ymir & Christa which quite vaguely revealed their origins. Christa might have something to do with royalty if I didn't misunderstand. And anime-only could hardly tell what exactly Ymir's background was from what she said. Still hundreds of questions. I have a guess based on her words in the flashback & some details in the OAD1. Some people were correct in the last thread about the similarity of Ymir’s Titan form & the one that killed Reiner’s friend. Not sure what influence that’s gonna have on the following plots. There might be some secrets on the sizes of Titan transformation. Why Ymir’s Titan form was so tiny compared to Eren’s & Annie’s? Why her limbs didn’t grow back like Eren did? BTW, I wondered if Ymir's dead or she survived despite of her heavy injuries. |

| After 30 episodes, Eren was finally able to kill his first titan. Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later, so good job Eren. =) Ymir's titan form might be small, but she used her impressive agility to good use and killed a good number of titans, but she wasn't going to be able to kill them all by herself. She was able to help the others off the falling tower and my first thought was 'Why didn't she took them and run away?' In the end, it wouldn't have matter anyway since Eren's group got to them in time and saved them all. The flashback between Ymir and Christa, or Historia, was interesting. She was determined to save Daz and her persistence must've annoyed Ymir in some way. Still, at least she helped, but not wanting to let Christa know about her titan form, she did rudely throw Christa into the snowy tree. =/ Also, it was Ymir's titan form that was responsible for killing Reiner and Bertolt's friend, maybe due to the lack of control of her titan form. I do see Reiner questioning Ymir about this soon and who knows if he can control his anger or not. Another great episode that answers a couple of questions, then adds more questions in its place. ^^; |
| Krista's smile made my day again. Ymir performed exceedingly well in her Titan form, despite her smallish size. The expressions of Reiner and Bertolt were priceless, they must have rejoiced over encountering a long lost acquaintance... The next episode will be glorious. |
| Altogether, this was the best episode they made this season, although I'm starting to have my doubts who's the main cast of the show lol. |

Don't worry, manga readers didn't get a glimpse of Ymir's background till last year in chapter 86-90 (I don't remember exactly which one) thanks to some flashbacks. Ymir is one of the misteries that haven't been answered and, for what we got revealed, the things go deeper. That guess can be right, can be wrong. But I think every anime-only at this point has to believe something similar, it's obvious for what happens in this season that there is something that can turn people into titans. And yes, they even recognized her and has some importance, or you'll forgive someone that killed a childhood friend in front of you? Sizes are stated at the start of the anime that vary between titans, I don't think there's a rule at all, Eren and Annie are shorter than Ymir, but Ymir is a small titan. It's not explained more far than "there are titans with different heights". Eren limb didn't grew instantly, only in the fight and I don't remember if that was anime-only. | Second part of the episode was great. I'm impressed by the art and animation quality in the fight between Ymir and the titans, especially when she started throwing those blocks at them. That was hype. This is what I like seeing in AoT. |
| Wow what an episode! I can't believe Ymir would go that far to protect Christa and as a titan she was bad ass! I love the part where Mikasa and Eren and the rest come flying in to save the day! So awesome! On the downside I felt like they took a lot of time to do the backstory in the first part of the episode which isn't in itself bad but when you only have 12 episodes to tell the next part of this story 10 to 15 minutes of backstory on something that could have been largely left to the imagination of the viewer seems like a waste of precious time. I thought it was a really good episode overall and I look forward to where they are going to go with the story next! |

| AoT really just keeps outdoing itself this season! Finally got a much needed episode on Ymir and Christa Historia's relationship. Their bond really does run deep, and I love how they foil each other...Ymir- the blunt cynic- ends up risking her life (and revealing one of her darkest secrets) to save Historia and the rest, when it was originally the latter who wanted to go out in a blaze of glory. Those who appear the least heroic are usually the most, it seems. Their apparently similar backgrounds have affected them in different ways, but it's also the thing that ties them together so strongly. Now I'm curious about Ymir's past though...is she a puppet of some sort?? I mean, she mentioned running away, but before that she killed Reiner & Bertholdt's friend, so I'm guessing that wasn't a personal choice. I really hope she survives- she lost an arm and a leg!! Wonder if she can regenerate... I'm guessing next episode is about Reiner and Bertholdt- just because the title is "Warrior" and it goes back to that kinda cryptic discussion between them last episode...the one about the difference between a warrior and a soldier. |

| the best thing about this chapter was that the manga part with the flashback and the snow was really boring and they managed to turn it into something so interesting in the anime. next episode will be a bomb |

| BACKSTORY. And the same spine tingling sensation I got watching Ymir transform last weak. I expect things to happen often, and even when things go about how I expect them to, it still hits like freaking Truck-kun. |

| WHOAAA, did she die at the end?! At first I thought that her leg and arm can grow back, but the last scene was so confusing, I don't know anymore T^T I can't believe she was the one who killed Reiner's friend, could that be some kind of mistake? Also, I wonder why Annie's titan form was so hot, and Ymir's just plain ugly lol. Didn't even get boobs @_@ Surprised about Eren's first kill, I totally forgot that he was finishing off only after transformation up until now in that case lolz. No wonder he got so excited. And it seems like there's gonna be some YET ANOTHER big reveal next week... My heart's not gonna last all that tension, dammit!  Ahh the real goddess... Historia :3 |

| All the Historia scenes after the flashback were so well animated. She's so freakin' pretty :O The few shots of the sky were super nice too. And then the animation for when all the soldiers came in. This episode was so good!! |

| EPIC episode! LOL after all this time, this episode was Eren's first Kyojin kill! Ahhh! tamaranai! Mikasa was so cool and awesome! just like 2B which Ishikawa Yui voiced also... Ymir died for a cause (for everyone's happiness??!?) and at least she heard Krista's real name. Historia. 5/5. |
