I'm trying to find a certain anime for my girlfriend

The people dressed victorian/steam punk. The series was very political. There is a little blonde girl who is the governer's daughter. There was a woman captain/admiral who was in charge of a fleet of flying ships.

That's all she can remember.

Any thoughts?

I have no idea myself, but maybe a more "seasoned" anime fan would know.

She now says that she watched it in 2001
She says it could have been from a gundam series
The ships could also look like normal ships that you would find in the water, except in the air......
All you can do is keep sending me recommendations, but I doubt we'll find it...

she says no unfortunately. The year it came out was too late. Apparently this is 2000ish anime release date....I couldn't tell you.
I also showed her the art style and she said it didn't look right.

I asked her if that was the one and she said no...Last Exile was the one I thought for sure.

I will watch Last Exile just to be sure though. Memory can be wrong over time.

Personally I feel like she has no idea on the matter...

-facepalm- I don't know, but what I do know is that I will be watching that star blazers 2199. It looks interesting. Thank you.

Oh shoot, that just might be it. The blonde heroine in Gundam Wing - a highly political series - is the daughter

of the Vice-Minister... Also, the woman being referred to could be Lady Une, the OZ colonel.
