| Global Warming is a topic that I'm deeply passionate about. As an American, what's happening in the Trump administration in regards to environmental protection and conservation is deeply upsetting. It's inevitable that temperatures will continue to rise, as no political figure seems to ever intervene in the fight for clean energy. Thoughts? |

We know this because there had been multiple ice ages in this world.Heck the end of the last ice age was around 12 thousand years ago.So it makes perfect sense that the world we be getting warmer. As the earth gets warmer the process is going to speed up until something else causes the global temperature to dive and we go through another ice age.. Clean energy and global warming don't have to be part of the same topic. Just because many people think its hogwash that humans are causing climate change doesn't mean they want dirty water and dirty air. You can argue for clean air and clean water without bringing the chicken little scenario of man made global warming into it. There is this thing called erosion, so you shouldn't buy any beach front property. |

And Trump is right to say what he does, until China acknowledges it gives no fucks about global climate change. Doesn't matter if the United States takes drastic measures only to be undercut by another power. Why should we do the right thing and punish ourselves, while you all reap the short term benefits We have all been on this planet the same amount of time. In 2010, global greenhouse gas emissions from the agricultural sector totaled 4.7 billion tons of carbon dioxide (CO₂) equivalent, up 13 percent over 1990. Agriculture is the third largest contributor to global emissions by sector, following the burning of fossil fuels for power and heat, and transportation. So go nuclear and some any combination of energy conservation with green energy and pray for a better future alternative, that won't give other countries the power to just bathe the planet in nuclear radiation in weaponized form anyways. And pray for a better solution in the future? Cut back on transportation? Cut back on population? Again there are far more people worldwide than there are in the United States. |

| @Soverign I'm not saying that Global Warming will be addressed; it probably won't considering what you pointed out. I'm saying that it SHOULD be addressed (again, it most likely won't). The person you quoted is right, though. Atm poor countries don't produce much CO₂, but this, like you said, will change (unless poor countries develop with clean energy, which is unlikely). I'm confused by your argument. |

| Recognizing climate change/warming does not mean we agree that it's okay to police the general population's lives to the point of great inconvenience. Scumbags like Obama had no right talking about protecting the environment. Not when he flew into Africa with his majestic Air Force One, rolling out the red carpets, and telling starving Africans they have no right to electricity or cars. |

No way! I had no idea! I wonder why they made such a big push for nuclear energy way back when! But that was shut down. Even Hydroelectric dams come under fire, for disturbing the environment. Which, anyways, neither that, or wind turbines is viable for every single geographic location. Or the energy demands of its populace. Really, you are your own biggest enemy here. But you don't know it. As far as the smaller countries, Ikaros_42oh understood what I was saying. If you don't adopt this stuff now, also. Then you will be the next big producer instead of USA or China. In about 20 years. Assuming some global thermonuclear war doesn't erase all that effort anyways. You can't even corral N. Korea or Iran. LMAO! This total represents a 7 percent increase since 1990 but a 7 percent decrease since 2005 (see Figure 1). For the United States, during the period from 1990 to 2014 (see Figure 1): Emissions of carbon dioxide, the primary greenhouse gas emitted by human activities, increased by 9 percent. Methane emissions decreased by 6 percent, as reduced emissions from landfills, coal mines, and natural gas systems more than offset increases in emissions from activities such as livestock production.2 Nitrous oxide emissions, predominantly from agricultural soil management practices such as the use of nitrogen as a fertilizer, decreased by 1 percent. Emissions of fluorinated gases (hydrofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons, sulfur hexafluoride, and nitrogen trifluoride), released as a result of commercial, industrial, and household uses, increased by 77 percent. Among the various sectors of the U.S. economy, electricity generation (power plants) accounts for the largest share of emissions—31 percent of total greenhouse gas emissions since 1990. Transportation is the second-largest sector, accounting for 26 percent of emissions since 1990 (see Figure 2). Last time I checked the United States was number two in emissions, behind China and slightly ahead of number three, The EU. |

| The push back against Global Warming comes from Oil / Coal / Etc. industries, and has nothing to do with science. Too be frank, the fact America prioritizes energy sources that makes the US dependent on foreign countries, as opposed to clean energy sources that generate jobs / revenue within the country just further highlights how hypocritical Trump is when he says "America first". However, and this little factoid seems to get lost in the argument of "is Global Warming real", pollution itself is harmful to humans. Pretend for a second Global Warming isn't real - Great, that doesn't change the fact that harmful pollutants produced en masse lead to respiratory complications, cardiovascular problems, and even increase the rate of certain cancers - In fact, in China (the poster child of air pollution), it is estimated about 4,000 people die every day due to air pollution; The BBC covered a report linking 5.5 million deaths world wide to air pollution over the span of a year (primarily from India and China), however this is something that is "very real". - http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-35568249 Parts of the US (mainly the South, not kidding, look up life expectancy by state) already have a lower life expectancy than regions like the West Bank, or countries like Mexico; Do you really want to make it even worse? |

You should click on the supporting links, they are pretty crappy. Take for instance "models are wrong" (which they are), the link takes you to some page about one person that is completely unrelated to modeling. As for Michael Mann's "Climate Stick", both of the people who showed that it had a "pro warming bias" were statisticians. No one had denied that they were correct as well. Not even your site has any evidence showing that McIntyre was wrong. |

Actually that is a lie. The EPA was claiming this before Trump was even inaugurated. http://www.climatecentral.org/news/scientists-saving-climate-data-why-it-matters-20976 And honestly, all Government research should have been open sourced and freely available. After all the research is paid for by the US Government, which means the Public. Had this been done under the "most transparent" government in history (LOL), then this would never have become an issue. |

NudeBear said: So you're already retracting your statements? Global warming has nothing to do with science, it's 100% a political issue Or am i misinterpreting it? If so, why did the bingo trigger you so much? It almost seems like you felt personally attacked. : ^ ) I said it's a 100% political issue, so why would i try to debate the "science" behind global warming with someone who only believes in it for partisan reasons? |

| Its funny because even the people who initially politicized Global Warming admitted to not only spending millions to spread the notion global warming was a hoax, but also had stumbled on the likelihood of Global Warming years before the issue was even publicized. Just look at Exxon Mobile (And again, yes, our Secretary of State was a former head of the company) |

Since they literally just outlined a 50 year old US plan. Nuclear, hydro, wind (where applicable), carbon emission reduction for vehicles, fuel economy, eventual shift from petroleum. But only after entire cities was covered in smog here and there. XD |

XD interesting point but look where the 50 year plan got US, if the Chinese can accomplish that faster (they have cheaper labor) however it depends on if we can improve as well. China's smog is bad but US cities were similar in the 70s, their population density is also insane. |

Actually, the whole point of college and college debt is not to provide business skills, but to pay university professors. This is why the government is underwriting college debt, when, if the debt could actually result in meaningful employment, private companies could have (as they used to) do it. The kids are just a marketing device. |
