Does anyone know or recommend an anime that contains socialist/communist themes? It may involve the URSS, Communist China, anything at all. I've never seen any.

One anime that has some communist themes is Akame ga Kill, it's about an assasination squad of a revolutionary army seeking to overthrow the corrupt empire.

Another one is, Little Witch Academia, wherein there's a character fighting for worker's rights and higher wages.

Please suggest more, Comrades!

None that I can think of that are explicitly communist, but here's a couple with anti-capitalist themes:

The Flying Phantom Ship: A delightfully crazy movie from the 60s involving a critique of military-industrial collaboration and consumerism. It's great, and its heart is in the right place, but its critique is fairly limited, remaining in the realm of conspiracy rather than structural analysis.

Fang of the Sun Dougram: About a group of separatist rebels fighting the colonial domination of Earth on another planet. Involves national liberation and the class collaboration that entails, which is fundamentally not communist, but it is left-wing. Thematically rich, and explores colonial/economic exploitation, resistance to the state, the subject of history, militarism/war, the corrupting effects of bureaucracy and power, and a whole lot else, in the context of shounen/mecha. One of the most politically complex shows I've seen.

Horus: Prince of the Sun: I don't recommend this one quite as much, and actually consider it quite conservative, but others have recommended it as leftist. Unfortunately, influenced by an old left concerned with affirming social roles in opposition to the oppressor rather than abolishing them as instruments of oppression themselves, so it wastes no time declaring the virtues of work, reinforcing the restricted role of women and the hegemony of the community. An ode to a now anachronistic and reactionary left.

Woah, the age of the Animes that you have recommended seems to be even older than me! It's great to see a truly seasoned veteran of Anime!

https://myanimelist.net/anime/10163/C__The_Money_of_Soul_and_Possibility_Control?q=c . it's not too much about socialism, but main idea of ruining capitalism for me was strong in this anime :)
