I usually skip the OP as well as the ED.
I mean it is 3 minutes per episode, that I could spend on watching other anime.
I have also read that some OPs spoil what's going to happen in the show.

Of course I would watch anime openings. If its good, I would search it on Youtube and watch it everyday. It gives a nostalgic feels after you finished the series.

I'm just a self-proclaimed anime elitist.

I almost always watch it, but I might skip it if I dislike the song, or if a stupid studio uses the same song for 150 episodes. (yes, I'm talking about HxH)

I usually skip them unless I really like them or someone tells me to watch them. For shows like JJBA I usually skipped it because I didn't like it enough to watch it every time. For shows like Kobayashi I watched OP and ED every time because they're amazing.

I always watch the OP and ED of the anime I watch! If its something I really enjoy then I buy it.

I rarely listen to any other genres of music now. I even have the Anime music station on Pandora playing in my car.
So glad that I'm not a huge manga reader, because the manga readers WHINE WAY TOO MUCH and have to RUIN every adapted anime for the ANIME ONLY WATCHERS!

I usually skip both at the begin of the season. This way a decrease the possibility of some spoiler due to the relations shown in the clips. The exception from this rule if the music captivate me within the first 3-5 sec.
Later around the end of the season, i usually watch it. Except if the music too bad.

Since I'm a fan of Rock/Metal, whenever an OP/ED is in that genre, I always watch it :D
But if it's not, depends if I like it or not

not all the time I'd probably watch it at least once in a show's season because I'd rather get into the anime then wait 2 minutes.

First it's really important to have a catchy song, second the graphic stuff. For example I watch the Re:Creators OP 2 times before I watch the actually episode. xD

I normally listen to the opening the first time and if I like it then I listen to it almost every episode... But, I don't (or at least I try not to) watch the opening cuz they normally contain spoilers.

If it's a new opening theme, I'll watch it. If I don't like the music, I'll skip it every other time. If I do love the music, I may continue listening to the opening while doing something else but I sometimes skip it.

It depends if I like the opening or not. Sometimes the opening will be really catchy or it's just a good song or it's not a good song.

I always listen to a show's OP and ED, however I don't watch them. In order to avoid any potential spoilers, I only watch the OP and ED on the last episode.

Basically this. Shame that some OPs suck or are absurdly unfitting to the show at hand.

I'm the same way. I usually only watch them once unless it's metal/rock. I think my favourite was the first darker than black op. I never finished the anime but I actually listen to that op when I'm just hangin out sometimes :p

I always watch them at least once. When I like them it makes me hyped for the episode. And I agree that it often makes me nostalgic for a show when I rewatch them sometime down the line.

To be honest, it depends. The more I have started to watch airing anime, the more lenient I become with enduring an opening. OPs off the top of my head such as Kiznaiver, Yuri On Ice and Death Parade, to name a few, have exceptionally catchy openings that I will never get tired of hearing but if it is generic and I'm binge watching... what is the point? I'm not a masochist! xD

Personally i always watch the OP, to me it's part of the anime and how the episode is supposed to feel. Sets the mood really well. Not too fond of watching EDs though. That's when i usually skip to the next episode.

If the combined efforts of the song and the visuals do a good job of mentally and emotionally preparing me for the anime, then yes. More often than not, I end up skipping it.

I never skip the intro sequences for Gintama, Durarara, Mushishi, Psycho-Pass, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, or Mob Psycho 100.

Some OP sound great like Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso - Hikaru Nara or Hyouka -Yasashisa no Riyuu.
If it sound great, I watch it. Nothing more, nothing less

I tend to hear the OP as I walk into a new anime(or when the anime changes OP in between) and I skip them if the starting few seconds of the OP are not to my liking. I personally find the ending songs to be much better than the opening ones, most of the songs that I remember were ED.

I usually watch it cuz it's a preparing for the episode, but I don't watch it if it's not an action, thriller anime, like Attack on titan I've never skipped it once cuz it makes you excited especially if it's an airing anime ^^

To be honest, it depends.
If I really like the opening/ending, I NEVER skip it, I even sing along, haha. For example, some animes that I never skipped their openings and endings are Inuyasha (I loved ALL of them, I finished the anime a long time ago but I still watch the openings and endings on Youtube once in a while), Hunter x Hunter (the OST of this anime is a masterpiece, as well as Inuyasha's OST), Yuri on Ice (I LOVED the opening, haha), Attack on Titan (again, a masterpiece) etc.
Other times I only watch them on like.. the first/second/third episode if I don't like them.
After all, the openings are like 3 minutes long, so why bother to watch something I don't like? I can save that time to watch something else. ^^

The first time i'm watching an anime is obligatory. If i love it and the animation is good i'll watch it every time in order to 1. learn the lyrics and 2. make theories/see if i can discover something from the story (kinda what happen while i was watching ACCA)

Only if I like them enough. Which is pretty rare, honestly. There are also instances in which I like the song from the OP so much that I listen to it almost non stop for a few days and then, when I watch the next episode, I'm so fed up with it that I skip the opening.
On the side note, I still watch the openings more often then the endings. I remember only a few times I really liked some ED, let alone when I prefered it than its series OP.

Always on the first episode of an op, and I have to dislike an op really quite a lot (Naruto's 3rd op for example) to start skipping it. I just like the way it sets a marker for a new ep and gives me a moment to enjoy the music and familiar animation sequence that blends with the show's identity and sets the mood. I don't usually find it a repetitive thing.
