They're pretty much always the best character of their respective anime and you can always rest assured that they'll be a ton of pure shameless fun to watch For attraction purposes rather than entertainment value though, imoutos all the way |

| OP, are you implying personality matters with women give me vagina or give me death +1 if they can cook and clean well tho Not being tongue-in-cheek, my favorite is Imouto type B, looking at my favorite characters. If I narrow it down by that criteria then that one wins by a good margin. |

| Maybe Yandere or Deredere or a bit of both. Honestly, I prefer if the characters express their love more passionately than leaving the other party in confusion or pain (example - Modern Tsunderes). Calm and reserved girls may have their own charm but in anime I get really turned off by them. For example, in Nisekoi, I was mostly liking Onodere more than Chitoge but after Marika came into the harem, I stopped giving shit to other girls. Her aggressiveness always gave me some excitement (not really physical though, I think). |

They are meant to encompass a character progression/development for example. Consider the reviled tsundere archetype. Any character that starts off brash and cold before slowly unveiling a warmer falls under the tsundere archetype, well-written or otherwise. It doesn't matter if Tolkien or Shakespeare wrote them. |
