| I really enjoyed watching Full Moon wo Sagashite (and the songs are amazing). Today, I was curious about the manga. I looked on MAL, and there's only 35 chapters?! I'm so confused, because the anime has 52 episodes. Did they add stuff in the anime that wasn't in the manga? Or did they really drag things out (I haven't seen Full Moon in a few years, so I don't really remember much except for the fact that it made me sad and made me cry my heart out). Edit: Sorry about the typo in the title... It's annoying me, too!!! |

| They actually did it in a very clever way. Mitsuki was said to have a year to live, right? Each episode aired a week. 52 weeks in a year. =52 episodes. :D And yeah, a lot of stuff was added. Mostly stories of Mitsuki interacting with different characters, learning through new experiences. She establishes a better relationship with them by the end of each ep/arc and they return to support her when she needs it. Some are very sad like You should rewatch it!! It holds up great ♥ |

| Full Moon is the best. One of my top 5 anime. The manga and anime are very different to an extent, so I recommend checking out both if the series interests you. I can say I watched the anime first and refused to watch it again until I read the manga. I read the manga over the summer, and it did not affect my love for the anime. Both are very emotional, they just feature some different characters and have some variations in the storyline. |
