| I want to watch the new movies but since they seem to have characters from the original Digimon series i'm confused because i don't know what to start with.There are so many other spin offs such as frontier and tamers. Can someone explain what is the proper order to watch this series. Thank you |
| If your talking about the Tri movies then all u need to watch is season 1 and 2. The other season's go on their own time line. So Frontier and Tamers won't come up at all. After season 2 u can watch Digimon in any order you want. If u want in order go by. Tamers, Frontier, Data squad, Xros Wars, Xros wars season 2, and the new one. Hope that helps. The spin off series are optional and can watch them whenever i want? |

Thank you A little late but i found this link to be useful: https://www.reddit.com/r/digimon/comments/1n2l03/questions_about_watching_the_series_most_of_them/ But to simplify, and ignoring audio drama's and stuff, this is my recommended watching order: Digimon adventure (aka the first season) up to episode 21 included "Digimon: The movie": a short (20'12" length) film, which seems almost as an episode except that the art is a little different, and it is focused on past events (you can think it as a prequel). It can spoil things so it is better to see it here. Digimon Adventuer ep22 until the end "Digimon: our war game" : a movie that takes place after 01 Digimon Adventure 02 until episode 21 "Movie: Digimon Hurricane Landing!!/Transcendent Evolution!! The Golden Digimentals" Digimon Adventure 02 episode 22 until the end "Movie: Revenge of Diaboromon" Digimon Adventure Tri Enjoy the ride, good luck. |
