| Whoa that finale was a lot more serious than I was expecting. Loved how Kobyashi stood up for Tohru against the latter's father, really liked the fight there and it was a terrific to what has been an incredible show for me. I didn't know what I was getting into when I saw this but I'm glad I stuck for all 13 episodes of the first season anyway. This show was very lighthearted, very fun and wholesome, really loved the character interactions especially with Kobayashi and Tohru when they were together just an adorable duo in any Anime I've seen so far. It knew how to be heartwarming as well. Brilliant animation and music was very fitting at times and considering it's coming from the same studio that did Clannad that's saying a lot for me. |
| It was obvious this subplot would have happened sooner or later, but the way it was handled... is great, and not even totally predictable (when every dragon characters in human form looks at the sky it seems granted they will gather and join forces, but... no) Kobayashi reactions about Tohru possibly being gone for real were actually realistic, relatable, and extremely uncomfortable to watch all at the same time (scratching her head, trying to not show weakness especially in front of Kanna, being clumsy with breakfast because clearly she isn't in the right place of mind and even at her job people is noticing), and the last straw was "hi, i'm home" to nobody else, and in a mess of a house again. It seemed odd to see Tohru return like that like nothing happened, and in fact... THE F...? "We don't interfere with the human world", but still by instinct i thought her father was actually going to hurt Kobayashi hard. No, she even had unrealistic time to wear broken glasses and watching the family fight in another world. Oh, well, there is no real resolution, he just goes away and it's clear there will be unfinished business between dragons and humans dimensions, but how the main cast is so close to each other at this point is beautiful. Nothing much to tell, so far so good so what... i'm probably going into season 2 and / or special without waiting for too long. Even better than my already optimistic expectations, a almost entirely flawless cast that hasn't even lived to the full potential probably, thanks for existing Kyoto Animation. 9.5 or 10/10. |

| I finally got around to watching Kobayashi-san, and i can't say I regret it. I originally got alot of mixed recommendations, som people told me to not watch it, while others thought I'd enjoy it. Guess i know who i should listen to next time, cause here i am just having a great time with our silly dragons. I can't wait till i have the time to binge the second season! Kanna is just absolutely adorable, I just want to spoil that little sport so much! |

| Kobayashi finally has to fully acknowledge the feelings awakened in her by her acquired family. She is no longer a salaryman drone who only feels after drinking too much; she has real friends, real feeling, and a real life. Tohru has to fully face and accept her future with a a companion of such different lifespan and fragility. They both had their "I am" moment. the next (special) episode is titled Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: Valentine's, and Then Hot Springs! (Please Don't Get Your Hopes Up) Oh, I'm gonna get my hopes up. |

| Man I Love Dragons MILD: This was a really good show overall. I felt joy every episode watching some dragons. I love dragons you know that. Tohru is a lovely new addition to my collection of beautiful dragons and while I don't feel compelled to immediately watch the next season I still think this was an amazing first season of dragon maid. |
