| Hey good people of MAL. How should I watch Clannad? I don't really like school slice of life and since first season is all about that (if I am not wrong) I wanted to know if I can skip the whole season or watch an alternate version(if there is any) or skip few episodes that are not important to plot. I have heard Afterstory is great so I wanna rush to it. I was going through youtube anime songs and stumbled upon Clannad soundtrack, man it's so amazing. I have been thinking of watching Clannad ever since. |

| Why would you skip the 1st season? It's the foundation block for After Story. Don't watch Clannad at all if you have no interest in its first season. |

| You cannot skip the first season. In order to get the most feels out of the second season you need to already have a connection with the characters and that can only be achieved by watching the first season. The first one isn’t bad at all so don’t skip it, whatch it, whatch the second season, and enjoin the feels journey that is known as Clannad |

| The first season sucks but still kind of necessary. Its worth it for After Story which is definitely better |
