I hope it'll be 2-cour again so they can adapt as much as possible (another 44+ chapters) perhaps

Thank god. I've been gradually enjoying this season more and more, it would be a shame to end it here. Hope the second season reaches for bigger heights.

Incredible news. The anime isn't so well-loved in Japan apparently but I'm glad they're sticking with it.

They have to. It's pointless if they don't finish it in March.
I don't exist. But, maybe, I once did.

YESSS!!! Hope it will be another 2 cour. The 1st season's pacing is well done but I hope somehow that they can fit 3 chapters per episode next time without ruining the pacing. More chapters adapted the better.

SHAFT PLS. Don't kill yourself with overabundance of works being done at one. Hopefully Fate/Extra and Owarimonogatari wont suffer from this.

Still great news otherwise.

BTW, a quick question. Do I need to have prior knowledge about Shogi for watching this anime or do they explain all the stuffs?

I had no knowledge and grasped it fairly quickly. Somewhere around the middle they have a cute, yet cheesy, little song and animation sequence where they expand on the mechanics of shoji. After those I pretty much comprehended shoji.

Also without knowing what's going on you can feel the intensity. But shoji is a tool for the show not the crutch.

Meh, not really. It's not really a show about Shogi, more like a show with Shogi.

Awesome, this was a pleasant experience and I can't wait to see more.
I'm no special story or anything. I'm just a manga that wants to be read, like you could find anywhere. But, if, for argument's sake, you were to adapt me into an anime series, it would certainly be....a tragedy.

Haven't watched this yet, but I loved Honey & Clover, so really glad Shaft is going all the way on this. Umino deserves her work to be realized and respected.
TEN COMMANDMENTS:
1) If Evangelion and Psycho-Pass are his only 10s, he probably also worships Tool and smells like cheesy puffs 2) Freudian psychosis =/= good writing 3) Moe blob art style is only ok in pure slice-of-life comedy 4) It's ok to enjoy shounen. Having fun is allowed 5) It is not ok to enjoy isekai (jk, it is, I just fucking hate it) 6) Creator breakdown =/= good writing 7) A story does not have to be wrapped up with a bow. Life is messy, why would a good story need to be tidy? 8) InuYasha is proto-Twilight 9) Ecchi CAN be good, but is almost always an abomination 10) If God is real, They allowed Super Kid to happen, so fuck Them
