| Clannad, Anohana, Shigatsu etc. They made me realize that an anime only has an emotional effect on you when you don't read the comments from fanboys, about how emotional and sad it was, before. Also when it's more than just Slice of Life. |

| Usually, I don't like sad anime pretty much as a default. Of course there's a few exceptions though. They are usually the ones I felt fit the show or weren't entirely depression-inducing. |

| Pretty much the same as every one else AnoHana and Your Lie in April didn't make me shed a single tear and I cry very easily. Personally I wasn't very touched by Clannad either. Anime that have made me cry recently are Rakugo Shinjuu and 3-gatsu no Lion. They are too real. |

| The only anime that I think was trying too hard to make me sad but failed miserably is Plastic Memories. Other sad/drama animes I remember were subtle and didn't focus on it which made them good. But Plastic Memories, just for the title itself is plain obvious what's the story all about. It killed the drama right from the start. |
