I keep on hearing rumours that hiromu arakawa told the anime staff that she wanted the 1st FMA to be anime original or go on it's own path.

Is this true? And is there any interviews or something to prove this? Or was brotherhood just made because the 1st anime was successful in Japan?

I am just wondering.

The first one had to go on its own path or else it would either have to be on hiatus for years to wait for the manga to finish or it would be full of fillers and we would have Fullmetal Alchemist Kai as a second version rather than Brotherhood. Given these three options I wouldn't be surprised if the author gave the approval of allowing the anime to have a story separate from the manga.

Maybe Bones promised to make a proper adaptation if he lets them finish this one on their own :D

Oshii is probably the only director that loves dogs. He thinks he's a dog himself.

That's right, its slime! It will dissolve your clothing slowly before my eyes!

Probably not. Mangakas are usually not that demanding.
I'snt that up to the producers at Square Enix?

I think the 1st anime was a huge success in Japan or something.

If that was true soul eater brotherhood would have happened already.

hiromu arakawa is a woman by the way.

I got no background, just a funney imagination, never knew fma was written/drawn by a woman
