Hahaha. Madhouse was dumped. I knew it, there was no info about animation studio until now and they failed TV serie. I have a good feeling about it.

I hope, NUT takes over Overlord now.

Despite the studio change, the movie's staff is mostly the same. Even Risako Yoshida directed 4 episodes of Mahouka before.

As I've said prior it was inevitable anyways (mostly because Madhouse doesn't do continuations or rare case doing so), and aside from those changes which are few (only the studio and the director), the PV doesn't look like any sort of difference or any different for the most part. It's more so the same looking show, if not better in the extent because I think they fixed some issues with what I had with the original TV series which was production wise, shading honestly. Hopefully the staff can at least handle this better (I thought the production of the show was good but not great).

Though we will see how it goes but so far I don't really see the complaints since most of the staff members have been the same, only few changes which, aren't even that bad. It's still the same for the most part, same team except for switch director (I may be incorrect but didn't Ono basically got out on his own from the series or something? I can be incorrect but someone correct me on this, unless it's false)

Despite that, I'll probably won't watch the movie after that adaptation (tho at least its an anime original film so I don't have to worry too much), but depending on my mood + the reception the movie gets from people then I will probably watch it but we'll see. Maybe I will get some Tatsuya fanservice personally (and by that I mean Tatsuya appearing generally in the movie, that's it)

Not really informed much since I didn't cared much about the movie but basically its going to be an anime original movie, its not anything related to the original source material as far as I am concerned.

I think Risako can be just fine as well, as for 8bit a lot of people dislike them because mainly for Grisaia and Rewrite, Infinite Stratos / Absolute Duo (this is probably the least people that gave a damn shit to hate the show but those two were shit to begin with so), but I think they can work it out just fine, but I'm not too sure about it, as I said I'm not gonna watch it but if it does get a good reception and / or my mood gets to it I may watch it.

Reminder that Risako Yoshida was the episode director for the original series as well (she worked on episodes 7, 14, 21 and 26).

As for 8bit, I think they did an above average job for Tokyo Ravens, and I mainly credited it for Takaomi Kanasaki's superb directing and he got better as the series progressed, which serves as a catalyst (for me anyway) as for why his work on KonoSuba is so good.

Anyway I'm really disappointed that Manabu Ono isn't directing this movie. Besides Madhouse's absence of involvment for various circumstances (seeing they aren't part in the production committee of the original series), I believe the director doesn't really care about Mahouka much. It's amazing that a guy who made a excellent light novel adaptation in Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere suddenly felt hostile working on this and The Asterisk War.

But Tokyo Ravens was actually pretty good though, even if the adaptation was a bit rushed for covering 9 volumes across 24 episodes. And the director behind it worked on Konosuba too.

Not really sure regarding on that but if it is the case then I have not much of a problem.

Besides tbh, when you think about it still it doesn't bug much since most of the staff from the original TV series are still there, its only one change which was the director which now its the episode director in charge of it. :S and well change of studio (still don't get the hate but I'll let that slide anyways)
