But plotwise the story always focuses on the grail war. The first route is a twisted grail war(thanks to Gil and Kirei), the second route is a very twisted grail war(thanks to archer and Gil) and the third one is a bloody mess and crazy twisted one, thanks to...well, you know, many things))) I agree that the Fate route did more honor to its heroine - Saber, but that had to be done to establish her character for the upcoming routes. |

That Aimer song sounds really nice. Animation and visuals still look good, as they should considering they have a movie budget. That shot with Sakura in the rain looking intensely at the camera in particular looks really well drawn and shaded. New snow outfit for Sakura. I support any new additions to her wardrobe that keep her from wearing that ugly cardigan-dress thing she always wore in the VN. |

| Opinions, opinions. I think this looks just as good as UBW, even though technically it should be even better, I was surprised that leaves were static in the scene at 0:08. After seeing Kimi no na wa I have higher expectations for top-notch animation. But still looks great. And yeah, they're changing a lot of things, compared to UBW that was almost ideal adaptation imo. Still, this route is pretty controversial, while I liked some parts of it - I hated others, so it's not that bad they're making some changes. If you want true experience - go read the VN, since this movie is an adaptation that should look awesome and not be boring, instead of showing us during 35% of all 3 movies leight. |
