Does this really need a season 2?

I haven't finished season one. I got to the root malfunction part and put it on hold.

I'm just curious if season 2 ruins the anime.

I'm not sure if it ruins it or not. I think it depends on the viewer. I feel the second season as well as the movie (which is a sequel) don't do the 1st series justice. I felt like it was lacking somethings. The storytelling and character complexity did not seem all there.

Not sure if ruins is the right word. It's just ... Not important at all, not so much we got from season 2 beside that awesome ED song. Even i think the season 2 just an answer to people who want season 2 so bad.

Nah, It's from my view.
