 A special event titled "Hanamaru @ Biyori!" held today in Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan has announced that the production for the sequel to the TV anime series Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru has been decided. To commemorate this announcement, an illustration of Yamatonokami Yasusada and Kashuu Kiyomitsu drawn by character designer Junichirou Taniguchi was released. The story of the sequel as well as other production details will be revealed at a later date.Touken Ranbu is an online card collectible game which spawned two TV anime adaptations. The first adaptation by studio Doga Kobo, Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru, aired from October 3, 2016 to December 19, 2016 with 12 episodes. | I'm not sure if I'll watch it. The first season wasn't bad but it wasn't really something that interested me much either. I guess it'll depend on how many other shows I'm watching when this finally airs. |

Katsugeki isn't Hanamaru's season 2 though. Katsugeki and Hanamaru are different anime inside the same franchise, but with no correlation between each other. What was announced here was Hanamaru's season 2. DogaKobo is the responsible for Hanamaru, so they're doing its s2. |
