| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ----------------------------------------  And so we finally begin to unravel Karoku's backstory. If my memory serves me right, it was revealed a long time ago that Karoku's parents lived and researched in Niji forest. I just completely forgot about it due to how long ago that was. Seeing as Karoku spent a lot of time in Kafka's captivity, it makes sense why he's so angry at them. Furthermore, I'm pretty sure Kafka will eventually find Karoku's parents and kill them. Nai never ever mentioned other people aside from Karoku, so maybe he escaped before eventually getting taken away by them right before the beginning of the manga. This chapter doesn't mention other Karoku in any way, so I'm assuming he's a clone Kafka made after the original and his parents escaped. This would make sense since it was mentioned that Karoku was a valuable experiment. P. S. Nai made an appearance and I'm so ready to see his and Karoku's first meeting. |
