| This anime was quite dull and most of the characters are brats and stereotypical. Like Yuri is always aggressive to her teammates, though she does have a very intelligent side most of the time so she's okay. Angel seems like a stereotypical invisible kuudere. T.K. acts like a corny restless guy. Yui seems a bit too hyperactive. The male protagonist is probably the only one I trust. All of the other characters seem mediocre so far. The mystery seems pretty interesting too, but this anime is too confusing overall. Also, is this going to be a musical? I usually don't really like musicals. Like what the heck do people enjoy in this? |

| It was made with the assumption that people who read the LN would be watching this. And it was still better than a lot of its contemporaries. Sure, it's not great, but the average quality of all anime is much lower. |

| It's certainly overrated to an extent, but you've only watched 1 episode :/ if anything, the reason why this anime is so popular is because it has lot of feels. |
| I'll rephrase that. It has a lot of feels for people who like this type of anime. I know that not everyone liked Angel Beats. The only thing I enjoyed about it was it's ending. |
| I don't just think it was overrated, I think it was just a plain bad TV show. The first half showed a lot of promise, mystery, and an engaging story, but once the plots started coming to fruition it showed its true nature as generic schlock with little thought put into it, a huge cast of forgettable characters that never developed, and rage-inducing (for me) emotional manipulation. For that last episode, I was seething at how obviously they wanted to make everyone cry in the cheapest ways possible. It offended me as a storyteller. |
