| The main chase sequence was great, but I especially liked the short scenes with Inaba/Shinobu, Sakura and Mendou that happened during the whole chase. Sakura kicking Ataru so far that he ends up in Oyukis freezing punishment was a cool suprise :D Overall, this is just a fantastic OVA that managed to connect its main conflict between Oyuki and Ran with all the typical Urusei Yatsura shenanigans for 25 very enjoyable minutes! |

| Another fantastic OVA, I really loved the art and animation of this one too, it looked really nice. And I personally love the stories featuring Lum and her friends so this was a banger. The chase with that sherbet bird was a lot of fun, really loved the amount of Benten screentime there (not biased I promise) as well as the cutaways to other characters being affected by the bird, we saw Inaba once again here as well which I liked. And Oyuki exacting her revenge in the end was great, I don’t think Benten really deserved it besides maybe her mean comments but Ran had it coming lol, the fanservice in the bath afterward was nice too. And speaking of fanservice, it wasn’t super prominent but there was some very tasteful stuff here, including those angles on Benten and Ataru’s imagination of the Urusei Yatsura waifus, this show really has top quality babes and that’s one of those moments that reminds you lol. I also noticed Elle from the first movie getting a cameo during the pool scene which is always appreciated. And lastly, the OP and ED being mashups of all the previous ones was very cool, they do somehow work together lol. |
