Romance/Action Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood.(Much more Action than Romance tbh, but worth) Steins;Gate(More thriller than action or Romance, but I'll recommend it anyways, best Time Travel Anime) Samurai Champloo(Romance is hardly present, but its a downright classic action anime) Higashi No Eden(Death Game type anime, Romance is sidelined) Mirai Nikki(Romance is on the more insane end, with the girl being a Yandere) Baccano(Romance is less present, but its an entertaining watch) Noragami(Mostly action with the suggestion of Romance, subject to change) As for examples of Pure Romances we got Clannad(Very Emotional) Little Busters(Similar to Clannad) Shigatsu Wa Kimi No Uso(Impactful if anything, theme of Music) Toradora(Simple Dramatic and emotional School Romance) Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!(Another School Romance with a theme of delusions) Nana(More realistic view on Romance) Kimi Ni Todoke(I've run out of adjectives) Nisekoi(Kinda Harem, but not bad) Other Romances that don't fall into those categories Nagi No Asakura(Stunning visuals, memorable theme of the ocean) Bakaemonogatari(Humor, ecchi, supernatural, entertaining) Bakuman(Unconventional, focused around writing Manga) Spice and Wolf(Very calm approach to Romance) Sorry if I gave you too many, I ordered them with my personal favorites at the top of each list and gradually worsening at the bottom.(Though the anime at the bottom are actually pretty good, so give them a try too) If you want anymore details on a specific anime, feel free to ask. |
| Inuyasha, it's pretty long though, also Angel Beats- only 13 episodes but definitely worth watching. Oh yeah, there's also Steins;Gate and Durarara!!- romance is not as important but it's still there and both are really good series. |

| Also here's a ranking of the anime based on their scores(Out of 10)(1=Trash/Regret watching, 10= All Time Favorite/Masterpiece) Keep in mind these were ranked by the users of My Anime List, who aren't all the greatest critics. There is some bias to certains series in these top lists too, so be wary. Try laying off the longer anime for now though, so try out some of the shorter anime and form an opinion on what you like and don't like(If you haven't already) Short anime, for me, would be around 30 episodes or less, but don't be afraid to try the longer ones, since those might be gratifying if you like the world and have the time to devote to watching it. The characters are well-developed and the romance is done at a great rate. The romance is not stuck in the background of the show ,but it is at the forefront of the show(if that's something you prefer). It is a slightly long though with 50 episodes.
