| This...this got derailed pretty hard. It's certainly an interesting question to try and tackle, containing inherent challenges given the multiplicity of ethics and values stemming from Japan's specific contextual environment and our own individual experiences, which could be the result of a number of factors derived from our own individualized backgrounds. However, the thread had since been turned into a session of questioning the thread creator's stance as opposed to actually talking about anime explicitly, with any meaningful discussion being substituted with posts that extend beyond the scope of Anime Discussion. It's difficult to separate anime and real life controversies, as, understandably, anime is made by and are viewed by people, all of whom experience anime through their own frame of reference.
