Granblue Fantasy
| A special will air in January (21st) instead. The actual series was moved to April (Spring season). No reason was given for this, but it could have been that Cygames (producer and owner of the game) wanted to push it so it could air along side one of their other based-game anime series that they are also producing: Shingeki no Bahamut: Virgin Soul (this is just a speculation on my part though). I just found it odd that they released a crossover poster (Dec 28, 2016) with the MCs of both series a couple of days after the news... | oooh... i totally forgot about this anime until a few minutes ago, then wondered why it didnt appeared on any anime sites.. so it was moved to april :D :D |

Not saying you're wrong since we have seen crazier things in the anime industry, but why would they let two of their franchises compete with each other? Especially since Bahamut is already a somewhat proven commodity, so it would take away a lot of attention from Granblue. My guess is production issues since that is the reason for most anime delays. |

I'm a bit late to the party, sorry. The two series would not be competing against each other unless they aired at the same time. One could argue it was a smart move to push the series into next season, especially if there were production issues. The first two episodes made for a perfect teaser in almost every aspect of its construction and writing, so while I may forget about it by the time April rolls around it will definitely be on my radar. This is a double edged sword, however. If it aired this season I would have watched it just like any other series and not thought much of it, but by pushing it back it has built up a little hype. The potential rewards will be greater with this hype, but there is more risk of disappointment. |
