| Yes! Thanks, @Kineta! Good luck to everyone applying. ETA: We don't ask that our editors watch/read the anime/manga they're editing. We only insist that our writers watch/read the series they're writing the synopsis for. Editors are expected only to do some research while editing to check for character names, accuracy, etc. |

| Just a quick aside in regards to anonymity. We live in a post-Snowden age, so you should be aware of how much of yourself you expose online, because everything about you is available for someone/something to mine. Best to make it harder for them. Good luck to everyone :-) |

| Honestly, I wrote the synopsis already to apply for MAL Rewrite during the summer, but I didn't feel confident so I kept delaying submitting the application till now. I have a few questions. If we aren't accepted, is it possible to try again with a new synopsis? How long does it take to find out the results? |

| Hey @raisa864 thanks for asking your questions. In regards to your first question, yes you can reapply after a determined amount of cooldown time if your application is not accepted. Secondly, our coordinators have significantly streamlined the process, and replies are already being handed out. Please apply at your own speed, you can only improve from here on. (smiley face) |

The idea is to keep the site free of inaccurate, copycat, and crappy synopses. We want all the content on MAL--characters, database information, etc.--to be legitimate, and synopses are also a part of that. I think I have a good enough eye for detail, as well as grammar and punctuation, but would it be possible to work in collaboration with other editors if I'm unsure about something? Of course! Rewrite prides itself on being a close-knit team. All the members help each other out. The editors, writers, and coordinators are all around (and very approachable!) in case you need something. How much time is expected to participate? I'd like to help out, but aren't sure how much time I'll have for this. Many of our members have jobs, courses, and other details to worry about, so you won't be alone in that you're busy with other commitments. Members are expected to claim something and get it finished once a week. And we'd appreciate it if you aren't inactive for more than 2 weeks. We don't expect super-human level participation, and we especially would prefer if you take on as much work as you feel comfortable with, because the last thing we need is a member burning out on us.
