 The official website of Monster Strike has announced as well as released an episode titled Zoku Saishuuwa (Episode Encore) that revealed that the series will get a second season scheduled to air on April 1, 2017. A special episode titled Katsubou no Hate no Risoukyou will be streamed on March 25, 2017. Monster Strike is a game that was adapted into an anime series which premiered in Fall 2015. A prequel movie titled Monster Strike The Movie: Hajimari no Basho e opened in theaters in Japan on December 10, 2016. Two special episodes were released on August 14, 2016 and December 3, 2016. One was a side story titled Mermaid Rhapsody and the other was a prequel story titled Rain of Memories, which takes place a year prior to first episode. | I am not surprised that it gets a second season. In fact, I kind of predicted it. I just hope that it gets better production values and a decent writer for a change. |
