Like one of the more famous traditions in Japan is to have Chicken because KFC did a huge Christmas campaign at some point dressing up the Colonel as Santa saying it was like the meal of the season. It's also taken up the consumer aspect and somewhat turned into a romantic holiday, so it hardly has any religious ties whatsoever. |

| I think it's a generational thing. Taiwan is the same way and at least my Vietnamese side of the family celebrates it as such. You'll see christmas trees in like malls in stuff but so few are actually Christian.. So there's no religious aspect to it but it's more for younger people as a "romantic" holiday equivalent to Valentine's day. So most younger people, millennials i mean, will celebrate it for the fun of it |

| It's a western culture that they adopted, simply. Many buddhists and people of many other religions celebrate it too. Chiristmas is more of a cultural holiday, and not a religious one. |
