This year's second and third combined issue of Weekly Shounen Magazine, which goes on sale on December 14, has announced that manga Seitokai Yakuindomo will receive an anime movie. Commemorating the manga's 10th anniversary, the movie is scheduled to premiere in theaters in Japan on July 21, 2017. Staff and cast members will reprise their roles from the previous TV anime seasons and OVAs. KlockWorx will be distributing the movie.
The first set of advance ticket sales has begun on December 14, which includes a mini shikishi board with illustrations by the manga author Tozen Ujiie. A second set of advance ticket sales including a school calendar will begin in March 2017, with a third wave planned for a later date. Customers will receive a different bonus item each week with new illustrations by the manga author for the first four-week run of the movie.
Furthermore, Kodansha's official website of the series has also announced that the 15th limited edition volume of the manga will bundle an OVA, shipping on September 15, 2017. The pre-order deadline for the limited edition volume retailing for ¥3,400 (US$29) is July 14, 2017.
Ujiie launched Seitokai Yakuindomo in Kodansha's monthly Magazine Special in 2007, before it transferred to Weekly Shounen Magazine the following year. The series was adapted into two TV anime seasons by GoHands with the first airing in Summer 2010 and the second in Winter 2014; each running for 13 episodes. The series previously inspired eight OVAs between April 2011 and October 2013. A second series of OVAs have been bundled with compiled manga volumes since May 2014. The 14th limited edition manga volume will bundle an OVA on December 16.
