| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I was just supposed to be an ordinary anime watcher, but a sudden situation changed everything. A girl named Fate Testarossa appeared in my Mahou Shoujo Animu. She had a scythe and a lot of beautiful blond hair. Her clothing was stylish and her voice was lovely to hear. Is Fate the next killer moe girl that many MGLN fans have told me about? It sure looks that way at the moment. But the poor kitten...and those voices on the magical staffs...ah!!! |

| This is my one of fave episode in Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha where 1st appearance of My No.1 Favorite character in all Nanoha series named Fate Testarossa with her black staff called Bardiche and here's the story Nanoha said to her she has such beautiful eyes and hair |

| I will admit that Fate is an interesting character, based on her introduction. But, I think the show was pretty good before. I also think she adds something missing from the series before.. a badass. At least that's what I hope she is... |

| Before watching this I heard how awesome fate is and I found out her first appearance would be on the 4th episode so I was kinda bored on the first 3 episodes. I would agree fate saved this series and made it more interesting for me. Favorite character as well in Nanoha series. |

| Well so far the moe girls and exquisite sound effects are about the only thing that would keep me interested in watching this. Let's hope they turn it up a notch. People were right about episode 4 by the way, it does get better. |

| If I continue it - I'm thoroughly bored so far. I’ve only watched it so far because of how people rave about it. I’ll probably at least watch season one though… it’s not long, after all. |
| The first season is not what everyone raves over, it is the second season, Nanoha a's. Even on Myanimelist you can see the huge difference in rating between the first and second season. |

Agreed I don't know if the cat's ok she/he got electrocuted and shot at it was sooo sad! A part of me will hate Fate forever for that and for not knowing the cat's fate (ironically enough). Anyone know for sure if the cat was ok or not? For the most part of me though I can't resist the awesome yuri undertone with those two so...I won't hate Fate forever. |

| the best thing i've seen from this show really is just the Nanoha's transformation scene, nice music and all. Other than that, show pretty boring loool. |

| When I saw the cover here on MAL I thought Fate was Nanoha, she stands out so much more than the actual Nanoha. I love her character design way more than anyone else so far, now to watch the rest and see if her personality is cool too since this episode didn't really say much about her |

Somebody call the animal rights activists! LOL But seriously the poor (and huge) kitten just got photon blasted and electrocuted, was there no gentler methods to do it? They're under a magical barrier anyway (which was dispelled when the natural colors came back, I think), I assumed the rival saw or sensed that as well so they have plenty of time to seal it more humanely or something. I don't know why I'm affected with that though, must be the internet infecting me with all those cute kitten photos and lolcats. X-P |

| I guess, seeing that it originally aired several years earlier that the people who say Fate saves the series etc. saw it before and are rewatching, as in this episode, Fate (we didn't even get hear name yet iirc..) did nothing out of the ordinary. Basically she was your average Mahou Shojo villain. |

| I've been enjoying Yuuki Yuuna is a Hero, and seeing its group of magical girls in action inspired me to go back and watch Nanoha again, since it's been so many years that I don't actually remember much of MGLN anymore, other than generally liking it. Anyway, still liking it so far the second time, and a few memories are slowly coming back; I'd forgotten that it took this long for Fate to make her debut. Still, there aren't many more dramatic ways to announce your arrival than dispassionately beating down the heroine and taking her Jewel Seed. |

| Nanoha's reaction when she saw the big kitten was priceless. Oh boy, that new girl doesn't seem bad but really went to town bullying that cat. Can't help but laugh when the staves start talking in English. What that girl said at the end makes me wonder what more there is to the jewel seeds. Also, if she's collecting them all then I take it another face off will occur at some point. |

| Another magical girl appears, and she has her own pet. It’s nice to have rich friends that live in enormous houses. I like how she has lots of cats, I am a cat person. The jewel seed turned it into a giant kitty. Here we have our first fight between 2 magical girls, Nanoha got beat pretty bad here. |

| Nanoha can witness loving relationship between her mother and father, and also between her brother and girl.. I mean.. Yeah.. Sometimes being younger sibling has its' pluses.. Maybe.. And friends are concerned about Nanoha's being.. Damn, this anime has so much of admirable relationships.. ;p Damn, happenings with that new girl are intense.. Don't know, how I feel about her now, will wait for more.. For now it looks like collecting Seeds is everything she's interested in really.. Possibly to return to mother.. And possibly she is ready to hurt anyone for her cause.. This show leaves on a heavy note for a couple of episodes.. |
