| I guess it's not your type of thing, but I would still give FLCL a try. Reading the three Light Novel books doesn't work well as standalone, but adds a lot of depths and insight to the series after watching the anime. Almost a complete new experience that also warrants a rewatch if you're up to it. |

| Durarara!! is kinda cool with a fun and eccentric cast, plot, and interactions. You could also stop after that and read the LN because the anime sequels are disjointed and skip quite a few things, which makes everything more incoherent and harder to comprehend. Edit: @sunsetocean (Don't @ me, mang~!) Thanks. But the manga is a lot better. Since the studio change a few years ago, they began to adapt half a chapter for one(!) episode each, which led to its infamous, horrendous pacing. Not to forget the poor animation, fillers, and recaps. Actually unwatchable to me. I just tune in to watch action scenes sometimes, since they work better in this medium. Don't misunderstand. Appreciate it, just had the need to explain why this one's a no-go. :) |

| Nothing, really good. Also props for dropping Planetes, which unfortunately didn't come close to the excellent manga due to fillers, silly new characters, and an absolutely stupid exclusive arc that took a lot away from the original tone and series finale. |
