| I'm talking about a ps4 and xbox one or wiiU etc.. so older generation stuff doesn't really count unless you got a ps3 and xbox 360. I just wanted to know the reasons why someone would buy both. One reason that came to mind is Let's players on youtube, getting out the first footage of new games and obscure/old games because their always an audience for old stuff (retro gamers). |
| I have all of the retro systems. But I do own a Wii U and I just recently (as in two days ago) purchased a PS4. I own them both because I prefer consoles over PC games, plus there are some games that are exclusive to just the PS4 that I wanted. |

| Stuck with only Playstation since around the Ps3 and currently only play on the Ps4 and PS Vita. Dropped Nintendo with the Gamecube and 2nd version DS. Never owned any other recent gen consoles. There is a WiiU in the household but it's not mines nor do I feel any urge to play it. So no to the poll. Only reason I would ever buy another console would be if it had a vast amount of exclusives that I would like to play, which none do, maybe like a couple games but not enough to warrant a purchase. |

| On the current generation, I only have one Console, and that's the Xbox1S. Because I really don't need anything else. There are no PS exclusives that interest me. Outside of Fatal Frame V and Bayonetta 2, there is nothing the Wii U has which interests me. Even the Xbox1 only won me over with Forza and my latent interest in picking up the Gears franchise. In fact, most of my games thus far are all multi-plats and/or remasters from the prior generations. This is easily one of the weakest generations we've had. Now, outside of modern consoles, I also have a First Generation Xbox which I still play often, a SEGA Dreamcast that gets some replayability, and a Gamecube that has SO MANY games that I'm still looking for. Also looking at picking up a PS2 in the next year or so to finish off the 6th Console Gen and grab the few PS2 exclusives that look interesting. |

| Not counting older consoles like my Genesis and Atari I have only two consoles that fit your criteria, a WiiU and a 360. The reason of why I got the 360 is because at the time I didn't have a computer powerful enough to run modern games and the 360 generally runs multiplatform games way more smoothly than the PS3. As for the WiiU, well I know Nintendo and I know there is no way in hell they're going to release their games on PC anytime soon. Plus they sort of are one of the few companies that still produces local multiplayer games, which believe it or not I still play with friends often. |

| Just talking current consoles i have WiiU, 3DS and PS4. As much as i like my ps4 i have decided that next generation of those consoles i probably wont get either a playstation or xbox, purely because i have a beast PC and ive decided id be better of running some games onto the tv with hdmi and using a controller rather than owning the console itself. Well see how that goes, its always possible a exclusive would lure me in, like currently i am glad i got the ps4 at launch because im super excited for Horizon zero dawn. I always buy both nintendo consoles because the games are exclusive of course. Honestly though if they made pokemon for the consoles id stop buying their handhelds though, pokemons the only game i own on it lol. |

I'm just big into gaming, so I tend to pick up whatever new consoles are out other than Xbox, just because I was never interested in much of the games that came out exclusively for it. |

| In terms of current gen I have a PS4, Wii U, and the New 3DS. I skipped xbox for every generation because the main selling point to me always seemed to be shooters, sports, and arcade games which didn't really appeal to me. For past generations though I have a PS3, Wii, DS lite, Gamecube, PSP, PS2, PS1, GBA SP, and a Gameboy Color. I used to have a super nintendo and sega genesis but I basically had to give them away. As for why the game lineup between Nintendo and Sony to me seems to be quite varied and I tend to prefer consoles over PC just as a personal preference. |
| Nintendo systems and PC. PC really removes the need to own a PS4 or Xbox One. I might miss Persona 5, but I have a sea of PC games and Nintendo goodness that I can afford to miss one or two games that aren't on Nintendo/ PC. |
