Just to see their reaction/make them feel uncomfortable? And which animes do you think would be the most awkward or have the biggest impact? (No hentai though, that ain't okay)

1)Ladies vs Butlers would be a bad thing to watch infront of your non anime friends 2) why would you watch an anime with your non anime watching friends? (unless you want to get them to anime but i doubt an ecchi would be a good choice unless he likes loli's.3) no because of many reasons such as them being annoying when you watch it or making fun of you for being a true weaboo down to the core while watching anime nudity or little lolis

I wouldn't even watch them in front of my anime-watching friends let alone non-anime watching ones.

As for a example, watching Yosuga no Sora with your sibling, being a guy and watching Yuri on Ice with your guy friends, and top tier quality ecchi shows like Shinmai and TLR Darkness.

In front of nom-anime watching friends, never. Unless it's like no game no life where I didn't acyually know it was ecchi and watched it in front of people by accident.

Well, mostly to troll them.... Hopefully the anime would attract their attention (something so alien that you can't help but look), and I'd more or less be watching them for reactions, rather than the anime. And everyone I know already understands that I'm a troll who considers 99% of everything bad in the first place.

If I did the obvious answer as to what to watch is go big or go home, ie. Kagaku na Yatsura, Rescue Me, Nozoki Ana, Hantsu x Trash, Asa Made Jugyou Chu, etc. Hentai may be off limits but borderline is free range. But no I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it in front of them, not because I would be ashamed of it but mostly that just seems like an odd situation.

I watched hentai in front of one of my friends before he got into anime. Maybe that influenced him getting into it...

I will never watching anime (even non ecchi ones) in front of casual friend, because most of female voice actors have high pitched voices which is annoying even for me. . .

If it's in front of my close friend then i don't really mind. . . Even ecchi or hentai. . .

I showed first episode of Keijo! to my close friend a week ago. . . And he had no reaction, he was just looks bored, so i stopped it before it finished. . . Lol

I don't really watch much in the way of fan-service-heavy anime to begin with, but I sure as heck wouldn't watch it in front of non-anime viewers, friends or not.

Although, admittedly, I feel awkward watching almost any anime in front of other people - unless they're actively watching with me, of course.

In answer to your question about which anime would be the most awkward/have the biggest impact... Of the ones I've seen, I'd say... Highschool of the Dead, maybe?

basically saying would you watch porn in front of your friends.

The correct answer is no, and you only watch it by yourself, any other answer probably means you got balls, socially unaware, or most likely, a weab that gave up on upholding a positive social image

Never had that happen, and wouldn't do that on purpose either. I don't throw my hobbies in other people's faces. I only watch anime at home anyway, and the pervy stuff usually at night or when nobody's around. Plus my non-anime friends are all from work and I'd rather read a novel there when I have down time.

I feel like I'm bi because i've actually seen Girl's Bravo, Ladies vs Butlers and got off. (Oh god the embarassment to actually saying this)

Anyways, maybe if they were bi/lesbian girlfriends/ straight male friends that liked porn it wouldn't be a big deal. But not really if I don't know anything like that about them.

First I need to find a friend, and watch Ecchi show with them.

God no. As a friend, I care about my non-Anime watching friends. I don't want them to sit through a stupid show that's going to waste their time. I would definitely not want the first anime or so they watch to be echi/harem. That's just going to deepen the stereotype they have that all Anime is porn, and that's not what I want at all. If it was with my regular Anime watching friends, then by all means yea. That's actually what we do most of the time. We watch really bad ecchi/fanservice and just bad shows in general.

I guess in a since it depends what type of friends you have since everyone is different. I showed 2 of my friends that watched some anime High school dxd and they loved it. I did it to be amusing in all honesty and because it is sort of acceptable to make your friends feel awkward if you are real close friends. I did show them the dub to DxD though and the script it put together very well so I think that some friends I would show but some I wouldn't. And I don't even watch a ton of anime I just thought it would be a funny challenge and they ended up liking it.

Well, the point was mostly to try to get an entertaining reaction out of them...

Nah, porn is just porn, while ecchi is "plot." There's a difference. I mean, plenty of people watch western stuff like netflix series/hbo/movies that have similar stuff (with other people).

You need to share the love. Or hate, if it's like that.

Mock them for months for having no balls

You're 100% correct. When I do this, I need to go full ecchi and (make them) watch gender bender and trap shows. Hopefully they won't try to kill me.

What i tried to get to with the analogy to porn is that people don't watch ecchi, and I mean like the hardcore extremely borderline hentai type ecchi, for the plot.

I won't watch most anime in front of my non-watching friends. I'm still working on S.O.L yet alone ecchi. I also need to be more of an ecchi watcher (I've seen 5 and none of them for the fanservice). I feel I'll be the more awkward/uncomfortable one there anyways.

I don't watch that kind of anime unless it;s KLK, but if it's KLK you better believe the volume is cranked up and I'm telling people "Yo, do you want to see the best show ever? Sit the fuck down and watch"

Can a non-anime-watcher be truly called friend? Well, maybe.
Should I be watching anime when I could be socializing with a friend? I don't know, I don't have real friends.
Am I putting unreasonable amount of meaning into the word "friend", because americans use it to mean "comrade" and hate the word "comrade" because it's associated with communism?
Am I putting unreasonable amount of meaning into the word "friend", because I'm bad with people and associate it with over-the-top friendship from entertainment media I've consumed?

Nope. I love fanservice and ecchi stuff, just because it is funny, unthinking and just the sort of thing that I can relax and laugh at after a stressful day at work, or to put a smirk on my face if I am lonely or bored.

It is MY time and MY time out from everything and everyone.

And I would not share that precious time with just anyone. Only those who appreciate the brilliant art for ecchi/fanservice is.

I've watched hentai with a few of them before. They all laughed their ass off. But they're not that into anime.

But i do show my brother ecchi from time to see his reaction. He usually says things like: Commit sudoku to restore the family honor. You're a degenerate. Or he'll shake his head and walk away. And i'll just laugh my ass off.
